mount applications. Side-mount
cameras
eliminate blind spots to the sides of the vehicle to help
reduce passing lane related accidents. Rear-mount cameras help drivers view the difficult to see areas to the rear of the
vehicle improving backing safety. Both side- and rear-mount cameras can also improve security around the vehicle. Plug and play system allows for quick and easy installation. Velvac offers pre-
packaged camera and monitor kits as well as stand-alone components, cables and
mounting brackets for custom installations. Back-up cameras are available in manually adjustable and fixed mount designs.
Adjustable design allows camera to be pivoted to view various target areas. Fixed
mount provides a clean flush to body installation with no exposed wiring.

conditions. Fixed mount side- and rear-vision cameras feature digital CMOS image processing while adjustable bracket
rear-vision cameras utilize CCD analog image technology*. While both provide great image clarity and object
definition, CMOS cameras also provide the added benefit of reducing image white out or blooming caused by
bright light conditions commonly caused by headlights, direct sunlight, or light reflections. An added IR filter
further enhances clarity and color definition.

Velvac rear-mounted back-up cameras are designed to provide a view of
the blind spot areas immediately behind the vehicle.
A typical rear-mount installation would start by achieving a view of the
bumper area as a reference point. Both the Velvac 95° fixed camera and the
78° adjustable camera are designed to achieve this target viewing objective.

The 95° viewing angle of the fixed mount camera will typically provide a view
of the bumper automatically when mounted on a flat vertical surface on the
rear of the vehicle. The 78° adjustable camera allows the user to adjust the
camera to view the bumper area in rear-mount back-up applications or to view
other target areas as required.
