Nationwide Boiler Inc. has an immediate employment opportunity for an
experienced CAD Drafter / Designer who will be responsible for creating and
making drawings from engineering designs and layouts for boiler and steam
plants systems in AUTOCAD format. This position is located in Fremont, CA.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Create new and revise drawing from engineering designs, sketches,
layouts of boilers, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation and
controls and other related power and steam systems. Drawings include: General equipment arrangements, layouts, P&IDs,
piping runs and details, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring
diagrams, structural arrangements and drawing details. The drawings will be used for sales presentation, customer general
information, shop fabrication and assembly and field construction. The
level of detail required for fabrication of components and equipment will
require sufficient detail and instructions to be cost effective. Prepare drawings for submittal packages to customer and clients. Must be able to prepare and create detail drawings for the shop for layout
fabrication and installation of small and large diameter piping and
instrument tubing; layout fabrication of flues and ducts and stacks;
structural supports of mechanical equipment; arrangement, layout and
installation of electrical conduit and panels. Maintain CAD operation efficiency and proficiency. Keep current with changes to CAD software and hardware. Maintain and manage CAD files.


General Knowledge & Equipment Skills

Excellent CAD operation with AUTOCAD 2004. Good verbal communication.
Must know basic drafting practices and procedures.

Preferred Requirements

3-5 years of experience creating and making drawings for mechanical, electrical
and instrumentation and controls systems with CAD or CAM. Must have
experience with boiler and steam plant related systems. Certificate of
Achievement or AA degree in CAD, drafting, mechanical engineering or
technology is required.

This position reports to Nationwide Boilers Engineering Manager and is located
in Fremont, CA.
