FLEXIBLE CONTROL OF CONVEYING APPLICATIONS

ia cable.
The B32-Ds main control box contains only the oper-
ator interface, plus a control processor and interface to
the I/O network. This control configuration greatly
simplifies installation, reducing labor and wire costs
and allows system expansion by simply adding more
I/O modules.
s
EASY-TO-USE CONTROLS
The overview screen lets the operator monitor the status of all
vacuum receivers at a glance. Icons indicate the real-time sta-
tus of each receiver. Other screens let you change system
settings or view pump systems, loader details, and alarm
histories.
s
UP TO 32 LOADERS / 8 PUMPS
System configuration changes are easily input and displayed
on the ergonomically refined operator interface.
s
FLEXIBLE RECEIVER CONFIGURING
Each receiver can be configured for single-material loading
with either ratio loading, positive (air-operated) receiver dis-
charge or material line purging, loader fill alarm or hopper fill
alarm.
s
LOW INSTALLATION COST
Simple, flat media is installed with a choice of cable hangers
and I/O blocks are easily clamped to the cable with no cut-
ting, stripping, or terminating.

APPLICATIONS
Flat Media Distributed I/O Loading Control System
The Conair B32 Distributed Loader
Control uses Allen Bradley Armor
Block I/O modules for loaders and
pumps which are clamped onto
Quick-Link flat DeviceNet cable.
The cables (one for solenoid power
and one for electronics/communica-
tions) are typically run through the
plant in one routing.
A power supply connects to the flat
cable to provide power for solenoids
and communications. No traditional
cutting, stripping, and terminating
wire is needed. I/O modules simply
clamp on the flat cable, quick and
easy. Connections to the I/O modules
are made with DIN type screw-on
connectors that terminate at the loader
with Conairs unique plug-in UTB
connector.

SPECIFICATIONS
TO CALCULATE THE CONTROL CABLE LENGTH
Estimate the distance from the B32-D control to the last vacuum
receiver in the system. Be sure to account for reasonable slack for
cable routing, etc.
In order to configure properly, it is suggested that a scaled plant
layout showing control, loader and pump locations be submitted.
Flat media must be routed to within 20 feet {6.1 m} of loaders and
pumps.
Specifications can change without notice. Check with your Conair
representative for the most current information.
3.2-inch Control Screen
A helpful overlay for this screen instruct how to
make common control changes.
5.5-inch Control Screen
Provides a digital keypad and customized function buttons for
even easier control navigation.
Control up to 32 loaders and 8 vacuum receivers
Connect loaders and pumps to the flat cable via the ArmorBlock I/O modules.
