NJ TRANSIT tickets between Hoboken Terminal and North Jersey Coast Line or Raritan Valley Line stations will be
honored and accepted as fare for PATH service between Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal during the times
listed above. Customers should purchase NJ TRANSIT tickets prior to boarding PATH trains at either station and show
the ticket at the accessible gate (located adjacent to the PATH turnstiles) at Newark Penn Station and Hoboken
Terminal.

Beginning on Friday, June 3, NJ TRANSIT will work to sequentially implement a new signal system for trains that travel
to and from Hoboken Terminal. This project ties in the signal system in the Hoboken Terminal area with our entire
dispatching system and represents the final stage of the complete system modernization. All train movement and
operation will be integrated into a single, real-time system. Customers will benefit from more efficient operations and
improved performance. To accommodate this work, North Jersey Coast Line and Raritan Valley Line service between
Newark and Hoboken will be suspended from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10 to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13.
Scheduled trains will operate according to current timetables, however, inbound service will terminate, and outbound
service will originate, at Newark Penn Station. Customers traveling to or from Hoboken Terminal during these times
should use the PATH system. Please review the detailed service information below for more details.
Service Information For June 10-13: Customers wishing to use Pony Express Train 2397 (which normally departs Hoboken Terminal at 11:20 a.m.)
should board the 11:01 a.m. World Trade Center-bound PATH train at Hoboken Terminal and change PATH
trains at Exchange Place for service to Newark Penn Station. Pony Express Train 2397 will depart Newark Penn
Station at its regularly scheduled time, 11:41 a.m. Raritan Valley Line (RVL) and North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL) customers wishing to travel between Newark
Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal should use the PATH system. Customers in Hoboken should plan to board
PATH trains approximately 15 to 25 minutes earlier than they would normally board an NJ TRANSIT train, in
order to make their connection in Newark Penn Station. Customers traveling from Hoboken who would normally board the following trains (train departure times from
Hoboken and Newark are listed below) should use the PATH system:
