This service bulletin will outline the procedure
required to install a supplemental support bracket.
1. Locate the front sway bar bushing and remove the
front bolt (Fig. 1).
2. There are two housing bolts (1/4-20 x 3/8) used to
secure the UnderPro siren cover to the UnderPro
mounting bracket. Locate, remove and discard the
inner housing bolt (closest to the centerline of the
vehicle). Loosen the remaining, outer bolt.
3. Slide the lower section of the supplemental bracket
between the siren cover and the mounting bracket
(Fig. 2). Replace the discarded bolt with the bolt
provided with this kit (1/4-20 x 5/8). Install this bolt
and associated hardware but do not tighten yet.
4. Position the upper section of the supplemental
bracket below the sway bar bushing and reinstall the
bushing bolt through this bracket (Fig.3). Tighten
this bolt using manufacturers recommended torque
specifications.
5.
Tighten any remaining hardware firmly.
