Wire. Lockwashers and Capnuts are important to the safety of your
installation. They must be correctly secured in order for your Fan to operate
properly. During their installation, you must support the weight of the Fan
and not allow it to hang by its Wire Connections.
8.
While holding the Fan in place with one hand, turn on finger tight, two of the
three Capnuts without the Lockwasher to temporarily support the Fan. Use
both hands to assemble the third Nut and Lockwasher and tighten with an
Adjustable End Wrench. Remove and reassemble the other Nuts, one at a
time, adding a Lockwasher and retightening. (Figure 15)
5.
If the wiring to the Electrical Box is enclosed in Electrical Conduit Pipe,
the Ground Wire may not be present. The Conduit itself could serve as the
Ground.
GROUNDING:
6.
Romex (plastic sheathed) Cable:
If Romex Cable was used to wire the
Electrical Box, connect the Green Ground Wire from the Fan and the
Jumper Wire from the Mounting Plate to the Ground Wire in the Romex
(plastic sheathed) Cable using a listed Wire Nut.
6a. Conduit Pipe: If the wiring to the Electrical Box is enclosed in Electrical
Conduit Pipe, connect a Ground Wire (not supplied) to the Ground Screw
in the Electrical Box. Attach the other end of this lead to the Green Ground
Wire from the Fan and the Jumper Wire from the Plate using a listed Wire
Nut.
7.
ELECTRICAL SUPPLY:
Connect the Fan Motor White Wire to the supply
White (Neutral) Wire using a listed Wire Nut . Connect the Fan Motor Black
Wire and Blue Wire to the Supply Black (Hot) Wire using a listed Wire Nut.
Your Fan is now wired to be turned on and off from the Fan (Pull Chain)
Switch. (Figure 14) With Wire Nuts turned upward, place Green and White
Connections to one side of Box and Black and Blue Connections towards the
other side and push carefully up into Electrical Box.

CAUTION: To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned
off at the Main Fuse Box before wiring.
3.
Insert Wires from Electrical Box through the 2" diameter Hole in center of
Mounting Plate. Attach the Mounting Plate to the Electrical Box marked
"Acceptable For Fan Support" using the Screws provided with the Outlet Box.
Place it through one of the #8 Internal Tooth Lockwashers and the Slotted
Hole in Plate and Screw it to the Electrical Box. Insert the second Screw
through the other Lockwasher, through the Ground Jumper Ring Terminal,
through the other Slotted Hole in the Mounting Plate and Screw into the
Electrical Box. Securely tighten both Screws. (Figure 12)

1.
Remove Tape marked "Light Kit" from the two Wires hanging from the
Ceiling Fan Lid. Unscrew Light Kit Wire Nuts and allow Wires to be
exposed. Connect Fan's Blue Wire with Black Wire from the Light Kit
Housing, using Light Kit Wire Nut supplied. Connect the White Wire of
the Light Kit Housing to the White Wire of the Ceiling Fan using Wire Nut
supplied. (Figure 18)
2.
Being careful not to pinch any Wires, slide Light Kit Housing over Ceiling
Fan Lid. Align Slot in Light Kit Housing around Pull Chain Switch. By
using the #4 x 5/16" Phillips Pan Head Screws (3), secure the Light Kit
Housing to the Ceiling Fan Lid. (Figure 18) DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

Turn Screw until it mates with threaded Hole in Hub. Do not tighten Screw
completely at this time. (Figure 17)
4.
Install the second
Screw in the same
manner, then tighten
both Screws firmly.
5.
Install the remaining
Blade assemblies by
repeating the above
steps.

BLADE ASSEMBLY AND ATTACHMENT
Remove the plastic packing
pieces from the bottom of the
Fan. (Figure to the right)
NOTE: The Blades should be attached to the Fan Motor after it is hung
and wired as previously shown. If the Blades are attached while the Motor
is on the floor, the Blade Brackets could get bent, causing the Fan to
wobble.

3.
Attach Glassware to Light Kit Fitters. Check to be sure that Screws
securing Glassware are only finger tight. (Figure 19)
4.
Before restoring electrical
power, attach Pull Chains with
Pendants to the Beaded Chains
on side of Switch Housing.
Then attach second Chain with
Pendant to Beaded Chain
underneath Light Kit Housing.
5.
Install 3 Bulbs before operating
Fan. Maximum 60 watts each.
1.
Restore electrical power to the Electrical Box by turning the electricity on
at the Main Fuse Box.
2.
Check the operation of the Fan by
gently pulling the Chain Switch.
3.
If airflow is desired in opposite direction,
turn your Fan off and wait for the Blades
to stop turning, then slide the Reversing
Switch once (Figure 20) to opposite
position, and turn Fan on again. The Fan
Blades will turn in the opposite direction
and reverse the airflow.
4.
Your Ceiling Fan is equipped with a four
position, three speed Pull Chain Switch:
1st Pull = Hi
3rd Pull = Low
2nd Pull = Med
4th Pull = Off.

IMPORTANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS for your Ceiling Fan: Periodic clean-
ing of your new Ceiling Fan is the only maintenance that is needed. When
cleaning, use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the
finish. Abrasive cleaning agents are not required and should be avoided to
prevent damage to finish. A light coat of furniture polish may be applied to
Blades for added protection. Do not use water when cleaning your Ceiling
Fan. It could damage the Motor or the Blades and create the possibility of
an electrical shock or fire.
