RESIDENTIAL TRASH SERVICES
No refuse or recyclable containers can be placed on any
sidewalk street or public right-of-way any time other than
on the day established for the collection of refuse or before
4:00 p.m. on the day immediately prior to such collection,
or permit such container to remain thereon for more than
36 hours after it had been dumped.
Refuse or recyclable containers cannot be stored at any
location within a front yard setback whereby containers
can be visible from the street or sidewalk.
Refuse collection shall be required for each lot or parcel of
real property located within the city limits and for each
dwelling unit located on such lot or parcel of real proper-
ty. Such service shall be provided by the city or by a com-
mercial collector operating under a franchise agreement. It
is the responsibility of the owner of each lot or parcel of
real property to obtain and pay for such service.
Each lot or real property for which refuse collection is
required shall also be required to obtain recyclables collec-
tion service if so designated by the City Council.
Refuse and recyclables shall be collected and/or transport-
ed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7p.m. on their
regular designated day. Carts should be placed at the curb
or the edge of the street or alley in a location where the
containers can be reached by automated equipment.
Containers shall be maintained in a clean, safe and sani-
tary collection by the customer and shall be tightly covered
at all times. Service provider shall replace or repair con-
tainers as needed to maintain containers in a safe condi-
tion. Customer may be charged for cart replacement if
container is damaged due to negligent actions.

The Refuse Collection Division hours of opera-
tion will be 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday
through Friday. Automated truck service will be
