TP Pro Series Smart Pump...
Smart Pump...Smart Choice!
TP Engineering's new Smart Pump is the first Evo-style oil pump that allows only filtered oil into the engine by sending motor oil to the oil filter first. The Smart Pump uses TP's patented three-valve design to ensure a constant flow of oil to the engine's bottom-end at any RPM. And with the Smart Pump, Evo-style engine owners can finally benefit from using 5-micron Twin Cam® oil filters and trap particles eight times smaller than are possible with 40-micron Evo filters. So what does the Smart Pump do that no other Evo oil pump does keeps your entire engine lubricated with filtered oil at all speeds and enables you to use oil filters that will trap more dirt. Smart Pump, smart choice!
How the TP Smart Pump Works
1. Oil is pumped from the oil tank by the Smart Pump's feed side. 2. Oil is sent to the oil filter for cleaning. 3. Filtered oil re-enters the Smart pump. 4. Oil is directed into the engine for lubrication via the patented three valve system. 5. After lubrication,oil is pumped out of the engine by the return side of the smart pump. 6. Oil is pushed back to the oil tank. From there the cycle repeats.

TP Pro Series Classic Oil Pump...
Conventional oil pumps shut off oil to the crankshaft at idle, and do not start delivery of oil until 1900 RPM. The Pro-Series® patented billet oil pump has been engineered to give your crankshaft a constant flow of oil at any RPM. Idling and stopped or crawling in traffic, it doesn't make sense to stop sending oil to your bottom-end. This patented design will add life to your crank pin, rods, pistons, and cylinders by drastically reducing operating temperature. By using a unique three-valve system, a proper amount of oil is supplied to the tappets and top end at all times. Another innovative work of art from TP Engineering.

Rocker Box Oil Separation Vent System
TP's patented Pro-Vent® system separates oil and air without any moving parts or one-way valves. Here's how it works:

In the second chamber, the breather gasses spin and collide with its walls, and by the time the air climbs the final wall on its way out of the chamber it is free of oil and ready to enter the crossover channel in the rocker box cover which routes the air out of the head and into the air cleaner.
3. The air collides with the walls of the chamber and is forced to make a series of turns before climbing the last wall and flowing through the entry hole into the next chamber.
An Innovative Fix for a Dirty Mess
Our patented design eliminates oil carry-over into your air filter without any moving parts. Pro-Vent® rocker boxes were engineered as a two-piece design to provide a super-stable foundation for the rocker arms, and to reduce the mechanical noise from the engine's valve train. They are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet and chromed to a mirror-like finish. Put a set on your engine enjoy how much quieter it runs and leave your rags at home. 1. Oily air is forced out of the crankcase and blown into the cam chest, through the pushrod tubes and into the first chamber of the Pro-Vent® system.

Ball Mill Version
All the air/oil separation is done in the rocker boxes. The Pro-Vent® system performs so well that we were able to eliminate the timed rotating breather valve from our engines and achieve a 2 p.s.i. decrease in crankcase pressure.The advantages of the Pro-Vent® system on Twin-Cam® engines are clear as well. It does a better job removing oil from the engine breather gasses exiting the heads and its not time-sensitive because there are no rubber parts that harden over time and no foam to become saturated with oil. TP Pro-Vent® rocker boxes are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet, and the rocker shaft stanchions are an integral part of the rocker box base.
The rigidity and of this design significantly quiets the valve train noise characteristic of Twin-Cam engines. The Pro-Vent® system solves the problem of how to separate oil from the crankcase's pressurized air. In fact it works so well that Pro-Series® engines don't have a bottom breather cavity.

Compression Release System
1. Press the button and the compression release valve is open. 2. Engage the starter. With the compression release open,
as the piston rises on its compression stroke just enough of the cylinder's pressure is allowed to escape through the vent hole in the body of the valve. Less cylinder pressure means its easier for the starter to push the piston past the top of its compression stroke. 3. As soon as the cylinder's charge is ignited by the spark plug, the resulting explosion immediately forces the compression release closed. The valve's design ensures a complete seal. 4. Customizable compression releases are standard equipment on all Pro-Series® engines.
