History
Orkila was founded in July 2005, as the result of a Management Buy Out (MBO),
concluded by the former management team of the companies of the Middle East
and Africa zone of Rhodias (formerly Rhône-Poulenc) International Affairs Division.
Inheriting a hundred years of experience in the chemical industry, the combined
skills and experience of the team will guarantee that Orkila:

The Executive Committee and the Management Committee
Orkila is managed by an Executive Committee supported by a Management
Committee. The Executive Committee, as Orkilas primary decision making body
in matters of overall strategy, has investment authority and is responsible for sub-
mission to the Groups main Board of Directors.
The Management Committee is responsible for the implementation of decisions
taken by the Executive Committee and acts in a coordinating role in order to
optimise Orkilas regional performance.

Antoine Sacy: Antoine has over thirty years experience in the global pharma-
ceutical & chemical industry. His multicultural background, linguistic skills and
particular expertise in the Middle Eastern & African markets has enabled him to
successfully develop businesses across the region.
Philippe Mattioli: During his eighteen years career with the Group, Philippe has
managed the International Tax & Financial Control department of Rhône-
Poulenc, and, since 1996, the Finance department of Rhodias
International Affairs Division (DAI).
Steve Jenkins: Steve has over 20 years experience of the chemi-
cal industry all of which has been gained working in an interna-
tional environment. During the course of the last ten years
Steve managed Rhodias businesses in sub-Saharan Africa and
the Gulf whilst based in Johannesburg and Dubai.
Nicole Sacy: Nicole worked for IBM Europe Middle East
and Africa for over twenty years during which time she
gained a wide experience of the international business
environment. During her IBM career, Nicole has managed
the Global logistics, Distributon and marketing depart-
ments.

Based upon these principles, the following code of behaviour and ethics has
been established in order to guide the employees and managers of the Orkila
group in the performance of their duty and, in so doing, to contribute to the
