This ISO 9001: 2000 Certificated company; ASTM and EMMA (Expanded Metal Manufacturers Association) member, offers a diverse selection of standard and flattened expanded metals in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and hot dip galvanized. They also manufacture additional expanded metal lines such as grating, projection mesh safety grating, stair treads, ornamental meshes, ribbon mesh, foils, light to heavy duty meshes in diamond, square, hexagonal and Experf plus the SecureX security fencing products. Expanded Metal accessories are also available such as U-Edging and the new SecureX clips, in round or square shapes used in drywall or galvanized metal studs. Most of the expanded metal products are available upon request in a wide range of ductile material. Choose from carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, nickel alloys, red metals, titanium, plastic, zinc, precious metals, copper, brass, bronze and most ferrous & non-ferrous metals. One of Niles new expanded mesh pattern lines is the Experf product produced from a coil, which is being called The Perforated Metal Alternative. It was designed to replicate the circular pattern of perforated metals so it is interchangeable with most perforated patterns and has comparable strength, open area and acoustic & filtration properties. The uniqueness of this product is that it offers design features that can only be made from expanded metal which makes it a perfect alternative and option for architects, engineers and designers looking for a low cost product but yet is architecturally inspired. It is a low cost option because the manufacturing process expands the material rather than punching or perforating the openings, so there is not waste, hence a significant cost savings because you dont pay for the holes like in perforated metals. For example, the experf mesh takes less raw material to produce a 96" x 48" sheet. Open areas available from 1% to 70% with limitless hole diameters. This material can be made into sheets or coils with custom widths and thicknesses to the customers specifications and can be framed using U-Edgings, angle iron, flat bar, etc. The surfaces can be finished in epoxy paint or anodized with a wide range of colors and are available in flat and raised forms. Experf is a highly versatile product for shaping, cutting, cylindrical and tube forming. It is ideally suited for applications of acoustics, speaker grilles, filtration, air intake screens, ceilings, enclosures, security screens, lighting, transportation shelters, room dividers, facades, trade show booths, fencing, gates, furniture, store fixtures and store displays. Niles Expanded Metals & Plastics, established in 1959, is a manufacturer and
distributor of Expanded Metals and SecureX Security Fencing Lines worldwide.
This ISO 9001: 2000 Certificated company; ASTM and EMMA (Expanded Metal
Manufacturers Association) member, offers a diverse selection of standard and
flattened expanded metals in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and hot dip
galvanized. They also manufacture additional expanded metal lines such as
grating, projection mesh safety grating, stair treads, ornamental meshes, ribbon
mesh, foils, light to heavy duty meshes in diamond, square, hexagonal and
Experf plus the SecureX security fencing products. Expanded Metal
accessories are also available such as U-Edging and the new SecureX clips, in
round or square shapes used in drywall or galvanized metal studs. Most of the
expanded metal products are available upon request in a wide range of ductile
material. Choose from carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, nickel alloys, red
metals, titanium, plastic, zinc, precious metals, copper, brass, bronze and most
ferrous & non-ferrous metals.

One of Niles new expanded mesh pattern lines is the Experf product produced
from a coil, which is being called The Perforated Metal Alternative. It was
designed to replicate the circular pattern of perforated metals so it is
interchangeable with most perforated patterns and has comparable strength,
open area and acoustic & filtration properties. The uniqueness of this product is
that it offers design features that can only be made from expanded metal which
makes it a perfect alternative and option for architects, engineers and
designers looking for a low cost product but yet is architecturally inspired. It is a
low cost option because the manufacturing process expands the material rather
than punching or perforating the openings, so there is not waste, hence a
significant cost savings because you dont pay for the holes like in perforated
metals. For example, the experf mesh takes less raw material to produce a 96" x
48" sheet. Open areas available from 1% to 70% with limitless hole diameters.
This material can be made into sheets or coils with custom widths and
thicknesses to the customers specifications and can be framed using U-Edgings,
angle iron, flat bar, etc. The surfaces can be finished in epoxy paint or anodized
with a wide range of colors and are available in flat and raised forms. Experf is
a highly versatile product for shaping, cutting, cylindrical and tube forming. It is
ideally suited for applications of acoustics, speaker grilles, filtration, air intake
screens, ceilings, enclosures, security screens, lighting, transportation shelters,
room dividers, facades, trade show booths, fencing, gates, furniture, store
fixtures and store displays. For more information in regards to this new product,

A second new architectural product called Ribbon Mesh is a new feature that
was added to the existing line of expanded mesh patterns. It is solid bands of
ribbon-like contoured shapes built into the sheet, runs across the width of the
sheet and is available in coils or sheets which can be finished in epoxy paint,
anodized, plated or powder coated. The ribbon pattern will not separate from the
sheet if you cut through it and on the smaller diamond patterns the cut produces
a relatively smooth edge. The bands of expanded zones are adjustable to the
customers requirements and can be framed with U-Edging, angle iron, flat bar,
etc. Ribbon Mesh is available in aluminum, nickel, brass, copper, titanium,
galvanized, plastics, carbon steel, etc. with patterns of square, diamond,
hexagon, circular, slotted and most any architectural pattern. This new mesh
feature adds style and expression to expanded metal with integrated strength.
There are many applications for expanded ribbon mesh; stairwells, security
screens, railings, fences, room dividers, office furniture, cylinders, filtration,
lighting systems, ceilings, etc.

From CAD engineering systems to advanced quotes, order handling to industry
