The above referenced solicitation is amended as follows:





Purpose:

     A.
Designation: The contract will be designated as Mandatory Use by state agencies and Convenience Use for all other
authorized users.  Convenience Use by all
state agencies and all other authorized users.  The contract will allow
for additional conveyances to be added as other conveyances maintenance
and repair contracts expire.

    2.  3.6.1 PRICE SHEETS:


          The State
will use the IFB Price Sheet attached to determine the lowest     


           Cost
Bidder.

3.     5.7.B INSPECTIONS: Has changed to read

B.  Work with the required State of Washingtons licensed elevator inspector
who shall witness the periodic (annual) testing of the units.  The cost of any repairs, parts and required re-inspections of the
units due to the fault of the Contractor shall be absorbed by Contractor.



5.14.A GENERAL MAINTENANCE
REQUIREMENTS: Has been

A. Signal and Operational Fixture Lights:  Upon completion of
each routine maintenance visit, all signal fixture bulbs for the respective
unit(s) shall be operational.  The Purchaser may provide a list
of burned out fixture bulbs between routine maintenance visits for a
particular elevator and the contractor shall provide and replace these
bulbs on its next visit to the building site when providing routine
maintenance on any of the units (as required by the
Purchaser).



5.17</span><span class="Normal--Char" style=" font-size: 10pt;
font-weight: bold;">.B.2 HYDRAUL</span><span class="Normal--Char" style=" font-size: 10pt;
font-weight: bold;">IC ELEVATORS: Has changed
to read as

2.Hydraulic jack unit's
packing gland, surface condition of the jack unit piston, speed reducing
valves, above ground piping, (contractor not responsible
for maintaining underground piping), cut off valves, speed reducing valves,
and scavenger line systems or tank to collect normal leakage from jack
unit packing gland.

A. Conducting monthly quarterly test
as (original IFB language) required by ASME A17.1, for Phase I and Phase
II installations on Firemans Emergency Service Control System.


B. Conducting the annual tests in conjunction with State and the State of Washingtons
licensed elevator inspector. AMSE A17.1 versions
applicable for time of installation.


            
C.  Correcting deficiencies in Firemans emergency service elevator
operations.


   9.    5.21 OBSOLETE
EQUIPMENT: 
Has changed to read as follows:

Contractor shall be responsible (with the exception
of items beyond their useful life, any conflicts with this, a third
party consultant could be called in) to replace, repair or have
rebuilt any and all obsolete equipment, parts or components as defined
below:


A.  Any item that
is unavailable from the original manufacturer due to obsolescence.


B.  Any item that
has to be custom manufactured.


C.  Any item require
extensive modification to the existing equipment before it can be installed.


D.  All items and
installation shall be acceptable to the Purchaser.


    10.  6.1.B non performance: Has
been removed and is covered in 6.1.A

B.  If Contractors performance
is found to be materially deficient as determined by an inspection of
conveyances covered by this contract performed by a QEI-1 certified
inspector selected by the State then this may be reason for termination
of contract.


     11. 6.8.1  BILLABLE HOURS: Has
changed to read as follows:


     
1. Non-Emergency Calls are requests
for service outside regular maintenance schedule, and are NOT an emergency
situation, these calls may include but not be limited to anything that
disturbs the reasonable use of property or endangers life and health
or is offensive, and gives rise to a cause of action.   Nuisance Calls defined as a request for services
out side regular Maintenance, and NOT an emergency situation, these
calls may include but not be limited to anything that disturbs the reasonable
use of property or endangers life and health or is offensive, and gives
rise to cause action.  For Example; someone drops their keys in
the pit, vandalism, act of god and power outage.


           
2.  Purchaser will notify Contractor, at which time the Contractor
will offer options and clearly identify cost and overtime if necessary,
and then the Purchaser would approve/disapprove the dispatch. 
There should be follow up written communication identifying action,
if any, taken given to the Purchaser. Non-emergency service calls are
billable at an hourly rate in 15 minute increments including one way
travel time from local dispatch point.


   12.  6.14.2 CALLBACK PROTOCOL: Has been changed to
read as follows:


         2. Vendor assesses situation
via phone identifying immediate need, and any               
overtime  necessary to complete the task, this is then communicated
to Building/Facility  Manager.   Building/Facility Manager will then notify the
Purchaser of action to be taken.  Overtime only allowed
when approved by Purchaser in the situation as described in 6.8 (billable
hours) and when repairs are needed sooner then normal maintenance.


    13.   6.15   INSURANCE:
