world-renowned parks!

West Mifflin, PA- Tomorrow (Sunday, June 4) over 80 members of the European Coaster
Club (ECC) will visit Kennywood amusment park. The group is traveling a long distance to
ride the best coasters, at the best amusement and theme parks, in the United States including
Kennywoods three classic wooden roller coasters, the Jack Rabbit, Racer, and Thunderbolt,
famous steel coaster, Phantoms Revenge, and indoor coaster, the Exterminator.

Justin Garvanovic, founder of the ECC and editor of First Drop magazine, eagerly shares, I
make no secret of the fact that Kennywood is one of my top 5 parks (Worldwide), so I cant
wait to get back! His group is in the United States for 18 days, visiting 22 amusment parks,
including two of Kennywoods sister parks: Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT, and Idlewild &
SoakZone in Ligonier, PA.

Enthusiasts will arrive at Kennywoods front gate early and make their way to the world-famous
Thunderbolt for what, in the United States is known as ERT, i.e., Exclusive Ride Time.
(Back in Europe its known as ERS or Exclusive Ride Session.) One of the favorite perks of
ride enthusiasts is the opportunity to ride a coaster either before or after a parks regular operating
hours exclusively. The Thunderbolt will operate solely for the ECC from 10 to 11 AM when it
opens to the public.

In addition to coasters, enthusiasts take pleasure in experiencing the other rides, games, food,
entertainment and ambiance of the parks. They will gather in Kennywoods Pavilion #23 for a
catered picnic from 1 to 2 PM. Joining them will be Jerome Gibas, Kennywood General
Manager, and Carl Hughes, retired Kennywood Entertainment President.
