Following
changes may be incorporated in the Dry-Dock Defect List/ Repair Spec
of the captioned vessel. Words highlighted in Red may be treated as deleted and words highlighted
in Green may be treated as the amendments.
27B. INSTALLATION
OF NEW MULTIBEAM ECHO SOUNDER SEABAT 8150/ 8111.
New echosounder / mini Gondola to be installed as per drawing of the
OEM. Scanned copies attached ( Samudramanth</span><span class="Title--Char" style=" font-weight: normal;

AUXILIARY ENGINE (Port ) ----- Mirrless Blackstone, ES6, 375 KVA,
750 RPM, 6 cyl, 222mm bore.
One no. Aux. Engine
to overhaul completely. Satisfactory running trial must be given after
completion of repair. Crank case deflection must be recorded before
and after the repair and to be corrected if required.
Continuous monitoring of shaft alignment must be carried out for determine
any deformation during shell plate renewal in the vicinity, any deformation,
if observed must be corrected.

ENGINE MOUNTINGS
To remove all
crankcase doors, all fuel oil, cooling water, lub. oil connections &
disconnect exhaust pipe & air intake manifold of all cyl. Heads.
To lift all cyl. Heads after removing nuts. To send all cyl. Heads
ashore for overhaul. To disconnect bottom end bolts with torque
spanner & lift pistons from the cyl. with help of lifting
tool. To send all pistons with con rod & bottom end bearing to workshop
for overhaul.

CYLINDER HEADS
To remove all
mountings viz. suction & disch. V/vs, relief v/v, air starting
v/v, fuel v/v and clean all pockets & also open water side covers
& clean water side. Inlet & exhaust v/vs to be skimmed
and lapped. V/v guides to be checked with stems after proper cleaning.
V/vs to be reassembled after replacing worn parts. All relief
valves and indicator cocks to be overhauled. Valves and
valve seats to be lapped. All fuel valves to be overhauled and tested
after assembly for proper atomization at set press. All cylinders
to be assembled and brought to the vessel and refitted in place.

PISTONS
All pistons to
be dismantled cleaned and inspected. All ring grooves to be calibrated
& rings to be gauged. The rings to be renewed ex. Ship stock
in discussion with Chief Engr. All gudgeon pins to be calibrated &
renewed ex. Ships stock where needed. All connecting rod bottom
ends halves serration to be inspected & bottom ends to be assembled
without shells & tightened as per required torque. & housing
dia. to be calibrated. All connecting rods to be gauged, DP test carried
out for cracks on serrations and fitted per makers new guidelines.
All pistons to be assembled brought on board and lowered in place.
All connecting rod bottom end bearing bolts to be tightened as per makers
instructions.
Crankshaft
to be gauged and all pins to be inspected closely. Crank shaft
deflection to be taken before and after decarbonisation and to be submitted
in tabulated form.
.5 LINERS
All liners to be calibrated
and same to be submitted in tabulated form. All liners to be honed in
situ. 2 Nos. liners to be renewed from ships stock.
.6 ENGINES
After assembly and fitting
of all pistons and cyl. Heads all pipe line connections to be made.
Sump to be cleaned thoroughly and fresh lub. oil to be taken.
Lub. oil priming pump to be operated to check lub. oil flow in the bearing
side. All crank case doors to be fitted with one side on minimum
bolts for checking bearing after trials.
.6.1 Torque spanner to be calibrated.
.6.2 Consider con-rods to be sent for reconditioning
by specialist makers authorized workshops (6 Nos.)
.6.3 L.O coolers for both engines to be removed
from place, cleaned and pressure tested.(450 mm dia x 1500 mm length)
.6.4 F.W. cooling pump for both engines to be overhauled.
Details : Centrifugal pump, 20 CBM/HR
.6.5 FO feed pump for both engines to
be overhauled.
.6.6 All FO pumps to be overhauled and timing
to check and adjust if required.
.6 7
Pressure regulating valves for FO, cooling oil auto temp. cont. v/v,
pr. Regulating v/v for LO, pr. Regulating v/v for suc. & exh
v/v lever LO and LO bypass v/v to overhaul.
.6.8 Silencer with spark arrester, starting air stop v/v
and starting air distributor to be overhauled.
.6.9 Consider renewal of 6 nos. of plunger and barrel
for fuel p/ps.
