The perfect system:
eal turbine power with tremendous reseveres,
capable of powering even the largest
helicopters
otor direction selectable for either (CW/CCW)
rotation
otor decoupled from turbine via centrifugial
clutch allowing the rotor to stop when the
turbine is at idle
ptional servo driven rotor brake
riginal JetCat AutoStart system:
ow maintenance, quiet running toothbelt drive
in the primary gear stages
pecial shaped gear mechanism in the final
gear stage for silent operation and positive
power transmission
omplete package: unpack, install, fly!
ver 1000 customers have proven the reliability
of this turbine engine powerplant.
creen in front of the turbine inlet avoids FOD
(foreign object damage) of the compressor /
turbine
pecial CAD designed turbine wheel, for
maximum shaft power at minimum residual
thrust
Fully automatic turbine startup by a command
from the R/C transmitter, without external
connections
Precision ceramic ball bearings for low
maintenance operation.
JetCat Helicopter Turbine HP-5
JetCat Helicopter Turbine HP-5
riginal JetCat Jet-tronic ECU:
RPM regulator for constant rotor speed. User programmable
electronics.
urbine starts without compressed air or fans. Automatic
cooling when the turbine is shut off.
S232 serial interface for linking to a computer
lain text display of the current running parameters for
example: exhaust gas temperature, RPM, fuel consumption,
remaining fuel, last run time, total run time, battery voltage,
turbine condition, last shut-down reason, etc.

Complete package
Display and programming device (GSU):
Example of a turbine start-up:
The Ground Support Unit (GSU) features a illuminated 2-
lines by 16-character alphanumeric LCD display. In
addition there are 10 switches and 4 control LED's. The
GSU can be connected to the ECU for monitoring the
turbine, displaying statistical information or to alter
running parameters. All parameters are displayed in
clear text through a series of menus.
Running parameters includes:
Exhaust gas temperature, RPM, Pump voltage, Etc.
Statistical data includes: Total fuel consumption, Total
turbine time, Maximum RPM, Number of starts, Run time
Fuel consumption, Battery voltage, Etc.
After charging the batteries and filling the Kerosene tank,
put the helicopter in the start position. Switch on the RC
transmitter & receiver --> Set RPM selection slider on the
RC transmitter first to OFF, then to the full throttle
position--> Turbine will automatically start and will
stabilize at the idle RPM (Rotor is not turning yet !). As
soon as the RPM selection slider is also brought to the idle
position, the turbine control is given to the pilot. Now set
the RPM selection slider to maximum. The main rotor is
now accelerated slowly (Time programmable) and
automatically stabilized at the programmed RPM value.
Through the tremendous power reserves of the turbine
(>8kW) RPM variations of the rotor can not be seen even
at extreme load changes (e.g. via the pitch control).
Scale exhaust pipes possible
