http://ieee.cincinnati.fuse.net/
or by e-mail unless you contact us. After January, depending on the response,
the content of the newsletter may be reduced to only a notice of upcoming Section meetings and a summary of

CHAIR'S MESSAGE
by Ron Harbaugh, Section Chair
October has been a busy month for the Cincinnati Section. Your PACE chair and Section Chair attended the
Region 2 meeting in Pittsburgh, the senior member drive, and the Section meeting at the Cincinnati Museum
Center. The Region 2 meeting gave us a chance to review Section issues and discuss some ideas for better
programs for the IEEE Sections. Our Senior member drive brought a small number of upgraded members in
the section. There will be additional information about these meetings in later newsletters.
The Section meeting was held in Cincinnati Museum Center on October 26. The subject was project
management as applied to the Fort Washington Way highway replacement. Don Gindling and his colleagues
provided a very interesting program. It looks like a few lessons can be learned from their experiences. You can
see some of the information on WWW.FWW2000.com. Cincinow.com also has some information.
Which reminds me, everyone stay tuned in the IEEE website for updates on the Section activities and other
goings-on nationally.
Since these little tidbits are written a long time before the events, it seems strange wishing everyone Happy
Holidays before I get through Halloween. Here it is anyway. Have a Good Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas,
and a Happy New Year.
