only be performed by persons knowledgeable of such hazards and under conditions designed to minimize the
possibility of injury.

1.
At the conclusion of manufacture and before shipment, the equipment shall withstand a potential of
1350 V ac or 1900 V dc applied for 2 seconds without breakdown, when applied between live parts and
exposed non-current carrying metal parts.

2.
In addition, the equipment shall be tested to verify the bonding of accessible conductive parts to the main
earthing terminal, using any means to indic ate a conductive path (i.e. ohmmeter, battery/light fixture, etc.)

The factory test may be made at existing room temperature.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS:

1.
The Power Supply is a tabletop, cord-connected accessory designed to be used for electrophoretic
separations that require a DC potential of 50, 100, 150, or 200 volts. The unit is a two-channel power
supply and comes with two Gel Cell holders that plug into front connectors.

2.
All electrical components are housed within a combination metallic and thermoplastic enclosure and are
provided with a Listed cord set.

3.
This device is intended for use in an Installation Category II, Pollution Degree 2 environment.
