FACTORY TESTS
Warning: The factory test(s) specified may present a hazard of injury to personnel and/or property and should
only be performed by persons knowledgeable of such hazards and under conditions designed to minimize the
possibility of injury.
1.
At the conclusion of manufacture and before shipment, the equipment shall withstand a potential of
1350 V ac or 1900 V dc applied for 2 seconds without breakdown, when applied between live parts and
exposed non-current carrying metal parts.
2.
In addition, the equipment shall be tested to verify the bonding of accessible conductive parts to the main
earthing terminal, using any means to indicate a conductive path (i.e. ohmmeter, battery/light fixture, etc.)
The factory test may be made at existing room temperature.
