Consolidated Communications Employees Race for a Cure
LUFKIN, Texas Consolidated Communications employees recently joined numerous
businesses and residents from across the county to race for a cure by participating in the
American Cancer Societys Relay for Life event, held locally at Lufkin Middle School. Prior to
the event, Consolidated employees raised over $3,400 for the fight against cancer and then joined
together to support the cause in the overnight walk. This years team, the Consolidated
Communications Racers, walked in memory of fellow employees who lost their battle to cancer:
Kathy Modisette and Thelma Cheatham. I am proud of our employees who continually
demonstrate their generosity and community-minded spirit of giving. It is through citizens
giving and volunteerism that we are able to make a positive impact on the quality of life for
thousands of individuals in the areas where we live and work, stated Consolidated
Communications Manager-Public and Media Relations Chauntel Plopper. Consolidated is
pleased to support the American Cancer Society in its valuable mission.
