New for

courses (short course yards/short course meters/long course meters) in order to
enter the event. (See new Q1 qualifying times) In this Short Course Yards meet,
3
SCM and LCM times are referred to as non-conforming times.
(2) Seeding individual events when using non-conforming times shall be as
follows:
a) All conforming SCY times will first be arranged in time order.
b) Following the conforming SCY times, non conforming LCM times shall be
arranged in time order followed by non conforming SCM meter times arranged in
time order.
c) After arranging the times as provided above, the event shall be seeded in normal
fashion and as stated in the Seeding paragraph below.
(3) All entry times must be designated as SCY, SCM or LCM. Any entry time
not having an accurate course designation will not be accepted.
Eligibility:
All swimmers registered with Michigan Swimming who have achieved an actual
short course yards, short course meters or long course meters time equal to or
faster than the qualifying standards (referred to as Q1 times) during the qualifying
period are eligible to enter an event.
Qualifying
Period:
The qualifying time must have been achieved on or since March 12,2004 (the
beginning of last years (2004) State of Michigan 12 and Under Short Course State
Meet.)
Age Group:
A swimmers age on March 11, 2005 will determine his/her eligibility for a
particular age group for the entire meet. You must swim your own age group.

(1)
All Michigan Swimming LSC individual events in the specified age groups are
offered in this three day meet. (2) All individual events are prelim final events
with two selected timed finals exceptions (500 Free and the 400 IM) with the
preliminaries swum in the morning and the finals at night. (3) All relays are timed
finals. The two fastest seeded heats of the relay events will be swum during the
finals sessions in the evening as stated in the schedule of events.
Finals Info: Individual Events: (1)
There will be two heats of individual and relay finals in
both the 10 and Under and 11/12 Divisions each heat comprised of a maximum

Finals order. (2) The top 8 seeded swimmers (one heat) after scratches (if any) of
the 10 and Under and 11/12 500 Free automatically qualify for Finals. Also, the
top 8 seeded swimmers (one heat) after scratches (if any) of the 11/12 400 IM
automatically qualify for Finals.
