lamp is broken. 58&70W lamps are coated in FEP material.
Quality Protective Material UV Stabilised
The shield wont discolour over the life of the lamp. covRguard
lamps are protected by virgin polycarbonate plastic, for the best
UV stability.*
Up to 36W lamps, UV will be largely absorbed by the polycarbon-
ate material used, 58W and above, however the FEP material
used will transmit most of the UV emitted by the lamp.
*Lamps will operate in ambient temperatures up to 50°C without discolouring. Please note that some
closed or watertight fittings operate at higher temperatures over 50°C.
