Programmable Dome Cameras
The current state-of-the-art, SpeedDome Ultra VII features a 22x optical zoom, combined with its 11x digital zoom, provides the power of 242x total zoom. Digital signal processing (DSP 5) provides enhanced clarity, colour and detail in well lit or low light applications. The dome's internal multi-protocol receiver enables the dome to be connected directly to a host of systems including those from other vendors. An optional feature freezes the image when moving to a preset thereby reducing hard drive space when the video is digitally recorded. Privacy zones can be set up to prevent users from viewing sensitive areas. The dome's direction indicators, which can be displayed on the monitor, denote the direction the dome is pointing, the direction in which it is moving, and the dome's azimuth (degree of tilt). The dome supports up to sixteen userdefinable areas. The dome's advanced alarm handling enables alarms to be processed internally by the dome, externally by the controller, or by both the dome and the controller. A "home position" feature allows users to establish a default preset or pattern for the dome when the dome is not in use. The dome has the ability to provide statistics on pan, tilt and zoom usage. Other features include password protection, dome-generated programmable on-screen text, and user- definable settings for features such as line-lock, maximum zoom, direction indicators, proportional flip, AGC and white balance. The dome also provides two "twistlock" mounting base options. The standard base is the value priced mounting base alternative; the I/O board base provides unsurpassed ease of installation, service, and maintenance.
We are positive that together we can help grow your business and we look forward to working with you in the future.

Explanation of Terms
Sensitivity (Lux) Quantifies the camera's low-light performance. Measured in Lux using a lens aperture of f1.2, the value represents the minimum scene illumination required by the camera to produce a useable video output. DD (Direct Drive) Dedicated connector and circuitry for Direct Drive lenses. Resolution (TV Lines) Describes the ability of the camera to discriminate fine detail in a scene. The higher the number of TV Lines, the better the resolution of the camera. AI (Auto Iris) Dedicated connector and reference signal for Auto Iris lenses.
DD Level Allows the lens drive level to be adjusted for DD type lenses.
BLC (Backlight Compensation) Automatically compensates for the silhouetting effect of a backlit subject.
BLC Window (Back Light Comp.) User selectable areas for BLC control.
EI (Electronic Iris) Feature to automatically adjust shutter duration to compensate for fluctuations in ambient light.
GAMMA Improves grey/black discrimination at low light levels.
AGC (Automatic Gain Control) Automatically adjusts the camera's gain to compensate for poor light conditions.
White Balance Shutter Feature to preserve accurate white rendition under Analogous to the shutter in a standard 35mm film different light source types. camera. Can be used to freeze fast moving subjects. LL with Phase Adjust Allows accurate synchronisation of multi-camera installations by locking the camera to the AC supply. The point on the AC cycle at which the camera locks is adjustable by ±120o
Flickerless mode Feature to prevent the strobing effect under certain lighting conditions/shutter speeds.

PWI Threshold Sets the level at which the Peak White Inversion feature operates for white areas in the scene.
* Note: These terms apply to Baxall Cameras and features may be slightly different for other manufacturers.
Did You Know?
Did You Know Lux is the measurement of light and refers to levels of illumination in any given area. The amount of light in specific areas to be viewed should be given careful consideration when choosing the right cameras for installation. It is worth noting that whilst the table (right) gives indications of typical light levels it is recommended that a light meter is used to give accurate figures

This provides an alternative for customers who prefer the convenience and programmability of a dome camera, but previously considered domes too expensive. Choose from several innovative mounting options, including hard ceiling, wall and pendant mounts (for both indoor and outdoor applications). The dome contains all of the necessary install components, therefore installation is quick and easy- just 15 minutes from box to ceiling for the hard ceiling mount. The dome's power-on diagnostics and functional tests assist with fault isolation during install and service. The dome accommodates a variety of protocols, including RS-422/RS-485, Manchester and SensorNet, making it compatible with any American Dynamics controller or matrix switcher/ controller system. The dome features a colour camera with 22x optical zoom and 450+ TV lines resolution, providing a quality, high-resolution picture. The dome also provides user-programmable presets and patterns. The integral housing model, which is constructed of ABS plastic, is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. This model incorporates a flying lead connection for mechanical and electrical cabling. The outdoor version of the integral housing model is weather and tamper-proof, and contains a heater/blower that protects the dome. In extreme temperatures, the housing's built-in fan prevents the dome from overheating, and the built-in thermostat and heater prevent ice from forming on the outside bubble.
Additional Benefits Three user-definable patterns · One auxiliary output · Easy to install and service · 470+ lines horizontal resolution · Automatic focus provides clear images without the need for manual adjustments.
