LED BASED MR-16
The Endura Bright LED based MR-16 is a new
revolutionary design integrating a high power LED
light source in a traditional MR-16 halogen
package. This innovative form factor incorporates a
high power LED light source, optical lens and
thermal heat sink shell. The 5 watt Endura Bright
version achieves output equivalent to a 20 watt
halogen light source with only 5 watts of electrical
power.
Basic version
The Endura Bright MR-16 basic version is
designed for the OEM track lighting fixture
manufacturer looking to re-design their existing
track light system. The MR-16 is mechanically a
direct drop in replacement for their existing fixtures
but the existing power supply needs to be replaced
with a constant current power supply. Advance
Transformer, a Phillips company, is already
manufacturing these LED drivers that will drop
right into many of the existing power supply
housings used in track lighting.
Opto Technology offers an Advance Lighting power
supply kit which has a 120V wall plug (6' foot cord)
and an MR-16 bi-pin receptacle to evaluate the
basic version Endura Bright MR-16 LED.
