Moving your checking account to Suncoast is easy just follow our step by step
instructions to help you switch over your account so you can take full advantage of the

Get Started

Open your checking new account at Suncoast. This account provides
you with the Suncoast Access 24 Visa Check Card which also serves
as your ATM card. You will also order new checks upon opening your
account.
Keep a record of your account number (printed on your checks &
deposit slips) to be used on the switch forms

Switch Transactions to Your New Account

Verify that all checks or automatic withdrawals have cleared from your
previous account. These transactions might take a few weeks, so
leave enough money in your previous account to cover them.


Destroy ATM/Debit Cards, deposit slips and checks from your
previous account.


Change your direct deposit with your employer to
Suncoast
. We can
even help you complete the form. Remember to give your employer a
voided check.


Provide merchants
who make automatic withdrawals (ACH or Debit)
with your new Suncoast account number and routing number (located
on your voided check).


Cancel automated payment services, such as bill-paying by phone, or
PC services, by contacting your previous financial institution. We
have a variety of automated services designed for your convenience
and well be happy to set them up for you.

Close Your Old Account

Verify that all outstanding transactions on your old account have
cleared and direct deposits have been transferred.
Once verified
notify your previous financial institution
to close your account and
request a check for the balance.
