10. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times when
installing Solar Address Panel.
11. Do not set up the Solar Address Panel if under the influence of alcohol
or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgement
or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs.
12. Wipe away snow or debris on the Solar Address Panel. If Solar Address
Panel is covered with snow for an extended period of time, allow weather to
clear. At this time the batteries need to charge in direct sunlight for at least 6-
8 hours in order to perform at its full capacity.
13. Use only Batteries of the type recommended.
14.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
15. The battery should be Nickel-Cadmium rechargeable.
16. Remove the battery if the Solar Address Panel is not used for a long
period of time.
17. Keep the Solar Address Panel free of dirt, dust, grime, snow and debris.
Dust covering the Solar Panel will block out sunlight causing a
decrease or stoppage of efficiency in recharging the battery.
18. Dispose of used batteries at a recommended Waste Disposal Site provided
by your local community.
Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruc-
tion manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may oc-
cur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution

1.
Remove the Solar House Address Panel from the box. To Illuminate, the
battery should be fully charged. Place the Solar House Address Panel in the
sunlight for at least 24 hours.
2.
After charging the battery, you can put your house numbers on the Reflector
Board (6) by disassembling the contents on a smooth surface. Remove the
Screws (10) from the Back Board (8), using a Philips Head Screwdriver (not
provided). Remove the small screw on the side/center of the Copper Panel
Cover (1). Set hardware aside. Remove the Back Board, the Reflector Box
(7) with the Electronic Circuit (3), and the Reflector Board (6).
Note: Be
careful when setting the Electronic Circuit assembly aside, so as not to
stretch the wiring.
See Figure A .
3.
With the Reflector Board (6) out, select the numbers from the Number
Stickers (12). Peel back plastic backing from numbers and place on the
Reflector Board (6). If placing on inside of the panel, be sure you reverse the
order so the address reads correctly when placed back in frame.
See Parts
Identification on Page 7. See Figure B on page 5.
Assembly of House Numbers
Choosing a Location
1.
An outdoor location with full, direct sunlight is the best position for the Solar
Address Panel. Shadowy locations will not allow the battery to charge fully
and will reduce the hours of lighting at night.
2.
Do not place near a night time light source such as a porch light or street
light. This could cause the Solar Address Panel to turn off automatically.
3.
If choosing a front gate as a location, attach the Panel on a wall near the
gate or on a Ground Stake that receives sunlight at least 6-8 hours a day.
Check periodically to make sure panel does not come loose over time.

Please Note: There is a pull-off Tab (5) around the connection of the
Battery (4) which blocks battery operation. This Tab allows the Battery to be
in an OFF position. It is used during storage. Save this Tab for future use.
Remove the Battery (4), and Tab (5), replace the Battery (4), and securely
make contact from the Battery (4) to the terminal.

charging, check the battery to ensure that it is making secure contact with
the terminal. Also check that the Solar Address Panel is in a bright sunny
location and not in the shade. Recharging time should be at least 6-8 hours
