Product Background
The automatic interior sliding door system is designed for
use in mainline inter-city rail vehicles for locating between
the end of the seating area of each coach and the
vestibule, in order to prevent draughts and noise from
reaching the passenger compartment. The design can
provide the following functions:
Single and double panel operation.
Obstacle detection.
Out-of-Service lock.
Passenger-open pushbuttons.
Fault diagnostics.
Communications link with TMS.
Fire barrier to F15 or F30.
The door system is supplied complete with the door
panel assembly/s and portal seals.
The door panels will consist of painted aluminum or
stainless steel framework designed to meet the strength
requirements and to achieve the maximum area of
glazing possible.
The panels will be glazed using standard safety glass or
fire resistant safety glass to suit the application.
The door panel and door portal seals will be fire retardant
rubber profiles or intumescent seals to suit the
application.

Construction
The door operator complete with ECU is supplied fully
assembled and factory tested ready for installation above
the doorway.

Upper "C" track and roller system
and floor mounted rail to support
and guide the door panels.

Mechanical out-of-service lock.

Active Infrared sensors.
Passenger operation: Touch-sensitive illuminated
pushbuttons.
