" Access Dual Roller FlexShade System:
Two rollers within a single pocket style headbox. Headbox of extruded aluminum
alloy, painted white on bottom and front. With or without ceiling tile lip. Removable
bottom closure attaches without exposed fasteners. Available in stock lengths for
installation ahead of shades and screen. Grooves extruded along the top of box
allow brackets to be inserted to accommodate suspension style mounting. Boxes
may be pre-wired with factory installed junction boxes. Patent No. 6,421,175. Other
patents pending.
Method of Operation
NOTE: Both shades in headbox must have the same operator type.
Electric Operator: Drive unit inside roller, to be 3-wire, instantly reversible, lifetime
lubricated. Right or left hand motor location available. Push button style adjustable
limit switches, thermal overload protector, and electric brake. Operates on 110-
120V AC 1 ph. 60 hz. current. Draws 1.1 amps.
Bead Chain Clutch Operator: High carbon steel and molded berglass-reinforced
polyester thermopolymer (PBT). Bi-directional for mounting at either end of roller.
Control loop, of any length, is a stainless steel or plastic bead chain (stainless steel
standard). Plastic chain in ivory, grey, black. Never needs adjusting. Lower clutch
mounted opposite end of upper clutch.
Crank Operator: Gear box, of die cast aluminum and steel, has ratio of 3.0 to 1.
Bidirectional to mount at either end of roller. Never needs lubrication or adjustment.
Crank handle assembly, of anodized aluminum and chrome plated steel, up to 6' in
length, detachable or permanently mounted. Heavy-duty crank optional in lengths
to 10'. Optional 2-Piece crank handle available for shades 14' or more above oor.
Crank roller insert, of injection molded nylon and steel, is installed in the roller and
engages to gear box.

Hardware
Rollers (except spring rollers): Sizes 2" dia. x .080 wall, in steel or extruded
aluminum. Roller assembly easily removable.
Mounting Brackets: Steel stampings, which twist into grooves in the top of the
headbox and can then be slid into the proper locations. Patent No. 6,2532,109.
Roller Idler Assembly: Type 6/6 injected molded nylon and a zinc-plated cold
rolled steel pin. Sliding pin for easy installation and removal of the roller.
Coupler Assembly: Couplers: Type 6 nylon. Coupler pins: 1018 zinc plated steel.
Coupler bracket: 1018 zinc plated steel with center bronze bushing. Allows for one
motor or crank operator to drive up to two additional shade rollers. Overall width of
group not to exceed (30' motorized/20' manual). Coupler Assembly to t 2" or 3" dia.
rollers with adjacent rol
