When using an electrical furnishing, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:

Read all instructions before using this furnishing.

DANGER - To reduce the risk of electric shock:

1. Always turn off power to this furnishing before
cleaning.

WARNING - To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or
injury to persons:
1. Turn off power to this furnishing before putting on or
taking off parts.

2. Close supervision is necessary when this furnishing is
used by, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.

3. Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described
in these instructions. Do not use attachments not
recommended by the manufacturer.

4. Never operate this furnishing if it has damaged electrical
connections, if it is not working properly, if it has been
dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the
furnishing to a service center for examination and repair.

5. Do not use outdoors.

6. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.

Install Drop-Down Molding (surface mount) or prepare ceiling per Rough-In drawing sheet (flush
mount). Installation over bathtub requires GFCI protected circuit.

PREPARATION

1.
Inspect all items. Report any damage immediately to Numinus,
LLC.
2.
Fit check dome in ceiling (or Drop-Down Molding [DDM]) and mark
mounting holes. (Holes may already exist in DDM.) Ensure that the
mounting screws will be threading into structure.
3.
Remove the junction box with two 2-prong outlets in it from the
dome flange. (The low voltage power supply and cove light may
already be plugged in.)
4.
Remove inner plate (with outlets) from the box.

TURN OFF POWER
5.
Hold dome in place and fasten to ceiling framing where holes were
marked, (route electrical wires through rectangular hole for junction
box.)
6.
Insert switch leg wires through romex connector into junction box.
Tighten romex connector snug.
7.
Reattach junction box to dome flange.


WIRE JUNCTION BOX
8.
Wire grounds and neutrals per code.
9.
Connect Power Supply outlet black wire to the on/off only switch leg.
10.
Connect Cove Light black wire to dimmer controlled switch leg.

Fasten outlet plate back into junction box.
12.
Plug power supply and cove light into their outlets (route the cove light
cord in through the hole in the side of the junction box). Feed low voltage
connector through the hole in junction box. Plug it into the circuit board
through the hole in the circuit board enclosure.
13.
Power up and test cove light dimmer and stars.

INSTALL TRIM RING
14.
Slide black plastic spin clips into aluminum anchors on dome flange as
follows:

Insert the head of the spin clip under the anchor with the neck of the
spin clip in the slot of the anchor.

Rotate the spin clip to align the flats on the tip (and neck) of the spin
clip with the slot in the anchor.

With your thumb and finger close to the neck of the spin clip, slide the
spin clip into receiver until it snaps into place in the center on the
anchor.
15.
Align marked circle on inside of trim ring with circle cut out in dome
flange.
16.
Align each spin clip with cylinder receivers on trim ring. (View from inside
dome.)
17.
Push trim ring up to engage spin clips. (Spin clips ratchet into place. Push
under each one a couple of times to fully seat.)
18.
Caulk seams. (Optional, recommended for finished look)

PAINT TRIM RING AND VISIBLE PART OF SOFFIT AS DESIRED CARE OF STARDOMES


TO CLEAN SUFACE OF DOME USE SOFT BRUSH AND VACUUM HOSE. HOLD THE
VACUUM HOSE AWAY FROM THE SURFACE OF THE DOME AND BRUSH DEBRIS
INTO IT.
CAUTION

DO NOT USE ANY CLEANING SOLUTIONS ON PAINTED SURFACE OF DOME.

WIPING SURFACE OF DOME MAY DAMAGE FIBER OPTIC STARS.
