Fire Damper Module
Description
The housing of the fire damper modules BK-188 is made from galvanised sheet steel. For connection to ventilation ducts, the front
side has corner brackets with long holes and a centred long hole in the moulded-on connection flange.
Quality assurance
Constant self-control and external monitoring by the MPA Baden-W黵ttemberg guarantee a high quality production.
Manufactured in accordance with the QM process, certified to DIN ISO 9001.
Trigger
device
Housing made of stainless steel 1.4301 / 1.4571 (at an extra charge).
Maintenance information
We would like to point out that only suitable cleaning materials may be used for cleaning the stainless steel design!
Hot-air heating
For use with hot-air heating, the fire damper is fitted with a 98癈 fusible link. Using a 98癈 fusible link is not covered by an approval
certificate. It must be requested in each case.
Attention
The suitability of the shut-off devices for ventilation ducts in which internal soiling through grease is to be expected to a particularly
high degree (e.g. exhaust air ducts connected to commercial kitchens) has not been proven.
Each builder and designer is required, according to the Model Industrial Construction Guidelines (MINDBAURL) and the DIN 18232-
2, to build in such a way that the formation and spreading of smoke and fire is prevented and that in case of fire no-one is injured.
Smoke spreading through the ventilation and air-conditioning system is effectively prevented only by means of motorised fire damp-
ers in connection with smoke detector devices (smoke detector type RMS-L or RSA). We therefore recommend fitting the
