All important fieldbus interfaces such as Profibus DP, CANopen
and RS 485 are available. The IclAeasy software tool and the
software library provide for easy commissioning. The units are
controlled, parameterised and diagnosed via the fieldbus.
The different IclA versions feature everything you need. Two
different connection technologies are available: printed circuit
board connectors, which are ideal for series machines and cable
looms, or industrial connectors for special machines and small
batch sizes. The four free digital inputs and outputs allow you, for
example, to connect limit switches directly to the drive no long
cables required.

IclA IFA The Compact Drive for Core Processes
Equipped with an AC synchronous servo motor, it excels with superior dynamic characteristics in the accel-
eration phase since it can be supplied with an over current for a short period of time. Various winding types
allow for adaptation to the application. The closed loop drive system features a high-resolution encoder.
The IclAeasy tool is used for commissioning and diagnostics.
Options include: planetary gearbox; holding brake.

IclA IFE The Compact Drive for Highly Flexible, Automatic Format Adjustments
Equipped with 3-phase synchronous motors (EC motors), it excels with a high detent torque. An additional
holding brake is usually not required. The IclA IFE electronics offer the facility of absolute position feedback.
Options include: spurwheel gearbox or planetary gearbox for optimum adjustment to the application.

IclA IFS The Compact Drive for Short-range Positioning
With its stepping motor, IclA IFS offers high torque at low speeds. It is a space-saving solution since a
gearbox is generally not required. The compact drive is highly suitable for drive applications requiring
excellent constant velocity characteristics, but also for high-resolution positioning tasks. Plug and play:
set the current and the unit is commissioned!
Options include: planetary gearbox for optimum adjustment to the application.

Application Example in the Printing Industry
The machine set-up is automated with the IclA IFE.
From the automation of the impression cylinder to the
deflection unit, all the way to the folding unit settings.
The intelligent compact drives replace complex
mechanical solutions and reduce set-up times.
Application Example in the PCB Industry
The combination of a camera and an IclA IFS for fully
automatic precision positioning ensures reproducible
printing quality. The application combines eight drives
with different performances all linked to the central
fieldbus of the machine.
Application Example in the CD/DVD Production
The entire process from the removal of the CD/DVD
from the moulding unit to the finished CD/DVD is
automated. IclA IFA increased the productivity by
approx. 20% while reducing the production space
by approx. 10%.
