Commuter Rail Service
As Minnesotas first commuter rail service, Northstar
will offer unique benefits to residents and businesses
in the Northstar Corridor:

Different from light rail service, which runs more
frequently over shorter distances, commuter rail
operates during peak travel times across longer
distances and makes fewer stops.

Northstar trains will operate primarily during
weekday rush hours when traffic is heaviest and
demand is greatest.



Northstar trains also will offer 3 round trips
each weekend day and special service for some
sporting and other events.
At speeds up to 79 mph, youll travel between
