Here youll find whats going on in Northfield music, food and fun.
The Fourth of July Hometown Celebration offers two days of music, food
and merriment July 3 and 4. From the Criterium Bike Race to the 10 p.m.
fireworks, it's an action-packed celebration! See pages 6-7.
It's also time for Taste of Northfield! This July 19 event will be one of the
months highlights with local delicacies on the Square. This years event is big-
ger and better than ever and with live music, a wine and beer tent, giveaways
and a live and silent auction. See page 12.
For the kids, the Harry Potter Event is July 20. Downtown Northfield will
transform into Diagon Alley to celebrate the midnight release of the latest and
last book by J.K. Rowling. The night will be chock-full of events including a
costume contest, a surprise public performance, a showing of a Harry Potter
movie and many downtown retailers will be open late. Don your clokes and
dust off your wands butter beer will flow aplenty. See page 12.
And its fair time! The Rice County Fair opens July 17. Admission is free as
are many of the events! Grab some cotton candy and
enjoy the fair! See ad on page 27.
