OXYGEN TO WATER
A healthy body of water needs the proper
amount of oxygen too little oxygen will
cause sh kill too much oxygen will
stimulate algae and weed growth. Now,
man can assist nature in the regulation of
oxygen by using Fresh-Flo Aerators.
For over 30 years, Fresh-Flo Aerators
have been used to restore adequate
oxygen, reduce water temperature,
dislodge obnoxious gases, dissolve
organic wastes, and prevent freeze-out
in large and small bodies of water. The
Fresh-Flo process is positive, practical,
efcient and foolproof.
A propeller-type impeller within the
aerator draws water inside the aerator
and initiates tremendous centrifugal force.
The water is passed, under high pressure,
through slots of the aerator which stand
above the water line. Sheets of
water are sandwiched with
open air the air is sucked
between the sheets the
oxygen is added and the
obnoxious
gases
and
waste materials eliminated.
The newly aerated surface water is pushed
toward shores as the aerator creates a
continuous circulation process. In freezing
weather, the aerator acts to keep an open
water area which in turn enables natures
own process to also function.

INSTALLATIONS
All Fresh-Flo Aerators, 1/3 hp.
and larger, come with swivel
clamp mounting bracket for easy
installation on pipes.
TO INSTALL AERATORS:
Drive a 1 1/2 pipe into the pond bottom, allowing about
three feet above waterline. Install furnished clamp on pipe,
then mount aerator on clamp. The waterline should be 1 to 4
inches below lower slot for best operation.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
The unit will operate on either 115 or230 volt single phase
motors. Optional three phase 200 volt or 208-230/460 volt
motors can be supplied.
Be sure that lead wire from electric outlet to motor is heavy
enough to carry the required voltage. The motor should be
properly fused to prevent burning out the winding in case of
trouble with current.
SUMMER OPERATION:
Aerator can be operated continuously or with a time clock.
It can also be operated with a thermostat set at the water
temperature to stop when the air is warm and start when
the air is cool, thereby cooling the water during hot summer
weather. This may be desired where there is not much water
ow to keep the water cool.
WINTER OPERATION:
Operate continuously in below freezing temperatures to
prevent low oxygen levels and to protect the aerator from
ice damage. When temperatures are above freezing, it
is not necessary to operate the aerator continuously all
season long.

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
1) We recommend that an electrician be consulted when unfamiliar
with electric power use.
2) Be sure to use the proper type wire, We recommend 14-3 or 16-3
gauge type SOW. A wire connector (cord grip) should be used to
protect the wire at the outlet box connection.
3) Wires have been changed to allow motor to run in the correct
direction at the factory.
4) Ground wire connects to the screw connector provided. (Green wire
if provided by Fresh-o).
5) One wire should connect to L1. (Black wire if provided by Fresh-o).
6) One wire should connect to L2. (White wire if provided by Fresh-o).

Impeller The standard material used on all models is aluminum; however, stainless
steel impellers are available on special request.
Impeller Shaft All are stainless steel. All shafts are machined and balanced for
vibration-free operation.
Impeller Shaft Bearing All are of the marine type and are self-lubricated.
Intake Screen Models BTE, BE, and AE with vinylized steel rod guards to
prevent corrosion. Model DT, TT perforated metal with vinyl coating optional.
Motor Bearings All bearings are long-life type, grease-sealed and self-
lubricated.
