Ricon® Toughened Epoxy System
Product Description Ricon® Toughened Epoxy System uses polybutadiene with maleic anhydride to react with bisphenol A epoxy to produce an epoxy with unique characterisitics. Benefits/ Features The polybutadiene backbone renders the final reaction product hydrophobic. The polybutadiene anhydride produces an epoxy with toughened characteristics. The liquid nature allows for ease of mixing. The viscosity can be reduced by mixing with anhydrides typically used in epoxies. Improved dielectrics. Avoid contact with moist atmosphere since this will allow a skin to develop on material. Do not heat with band heaters as hot spots may cause the material to crosslink and auto-accelerate. Mix Instructions Part A To a heated vessel add the Ricon® 130MA20 then maintain at 65oC adding the Lindride 12, Byk A500 and Byk A515; agitate for 4 hours or until mixed. The material is mixed 2:1 Part A:Part B and then DAMA 1010 is mixed in.
