Wind Load Calculations and Other Wind Issues:
Provides an overview of the FBC wind load provisions.
Discusses wind characteristics and structural dynamic
fundamentals. Wind load analyses examples (simplified,
high rise etc.) performed on various residential/
commercial structures using several formats including
Mathcad programming. Wind driven rain characteristics
are discussed and various wind/rain flow patterns
derived from fluid flow mechanics are depicted.
Findings from current hurricane research are presented.
Demonstration of a commercial wind load software.
