General Description
The Rane RAP 10 Remote AC Power Supply is designed
specifically to power Rane units designed for remote AC
powering, eliminating the need for individual remote power
supplies. Use of the 2-space RAP 10 makes for a compact
power supply solution, and adds a Master Power switch to the
system.
Outputs from the RAP 10 may be used to power up to ten
Rane products designed for remote AC input power from the
RS 1 (e. g., GE 30, PE 15/17, AC 22/23/B, DC 24, etc.)
Each of the 10 outputs is individually protected against
overloads in excess of 650 milliamps (including short
circuits); a problem on one output will not endanger the
operation of the RAP 10. All protection devices are solid-state
and self-resettingno glass fuses are used.
In addition, the RAP 10 is UL listed, cUL listed for
Canada, and meets EMC and Low Voltage directives. All
units powered from a RAP 10 qualify as safety extra-low
voltage (SELV) units and are exempt from agency safety
approval.

Architectural Specifications
The remote power supply shall be configured for 2-space
horizontal rack mounting with ten (10) outputs terminated in
RJ-12 (6-wire) modular connectors. All outputs shall be rated
for 18 VAC with center-taps. Outputs shall be rated for a
maximum of 650 milliamps each. All protection devices shall
be solid-state and self-resetting.
The unit shall be capable of operating from AC line
voltages of 95-130 volts, 50/60 Hz (or 190-250 volts AC, 50
Hz if applicable) and be supplied with a 3-wire, 3-prong line
cord for domestic (and selected export) 120 VAC units, or a
Schuko continental European cord with a CEE 7/7 plug on
the 230 VAC model.
The 120 VAC unit shall be UL listed to UL 813
specifications, and cUL listed to Canadian standard C22.2.
The 230 VAC unit shall meet the European Union's EMC
directive, 89/336/EEC and the Low Voltage directive, 73/23/
EEC and shall bear the CE marking.
The remote power supply shall be a Rane Corporation
Model RAP 10.
