Designers' Choice

The LTC®4260 Hot Swap controller protects boards during live
insertion or removal for systems operating on supplies of 12V to
48V. An integrated delta-sigma ADC measures the output voltage,
the current through the sense resistor and a third general purpose
ADC input, enabling board-level fault prediction for high availability
systems. An I²C port allows on/off control, readback of the ADC
registers as well as examination of the fault status. Evaluation is
quick and easy using our USB-based demonstration system.
