58 Degrees honored by the Wine Spectator with Two Wine Awards
Tucson, AZ August 2008 -- For the third year in a row 58 Degrees & Holding
Companys restaurant and wine bar at the Williams Centre has been recognized by the
Wine Spectator with a Best of Award of Excellence. In addition, 58 Degrees restaurant
and wine bar at the St. Philips Plaza in Tucsons Foothills has been recognized with the
"Award of Excellence" by the Wine Spectator in its August 31 issue, now on newsstands.
The Best of Award of Excellence is the second highest award given by the Wine
Spectator. It is given to restaurants whose wine lists display either vintage depth, with
vertical offerings of several top producers from major regions, or excellent breadth
spread over several winegrowing regions. The wine lists typically offer 500 or more
selections, along with superior presentation.
We could not be more pleased to have received these awards from a nationally
renowned and respected publication such as the Wine Spectator, said General Manager
Nicole Flowers. "We are excited that in just the first year of operations at St. Philips
Plaza we have been recognized with the "Award of Excellence", while our Williams
Centre location in Tucson has now received the "Best of Award of Excellence" three
years running."
In addition to pouring 58 unique wines by the glass everyday, the wine programs at 58
Degrees features over 600 selections of fine wines for patrons to pair with reasonably
priced, contemporary American cuisine. Our staff has done a tremendous job in creating
a unique and refreshing list and, with several Certified Sommeliers on staff, our goal is to
find the right wine for each of our customers, says Ms. Flowers.
