Difference in appearance before and after 300 laundering cycles indicated
degradation in pad durability:

RCP: Minimal degradation - in fact pad had a fluffier look and feel.
TUWAY: Frayed edges. Separation of Microfiber and backing. Easily torn.
WHITE: Decreased pile height.
ACT: Color faded. Hook and loop backing torn.
PERFECT CLEAN: Extreme fading, uneven and worn pile.
CLEAN SYSTEM: Bare patches in Microfiber.

Comparison of pads after 300 laundering cycles, between the loop backing of the Microfiber
mop and hook on the bottom of the mop head.
The dashed line at 2.0 lbs. shows the threshold strength necessary for pad attachment.
This particular test shows that the WHITE mop registered a slightly higher result than the
RCP mop, but the Rubbermaid Commercial Products attachment strength is approximately
25% higher than the threshold required to maintain attachment.

Microfiber Tear Strength:

Comparison of pads after 300 laundering cycles shows that the laundering process has
little affect on the tear strength of Microfiber pads (all companies).
Rubbermaid Commercial Products Microfiber pads proved to achieve the highest tear
strength performance of all pads (Note: WHITE pads baseline was initially the highest, but
quickly lost considerable tear strength after initial series of launderings).

Comparison of pads after 300 laundering cycles shows that all pads ultimately achieved
higher tear strengths after 300 cycles.
Rubbermaid Commercial Products pads achieved the highest results, even though the
baseline readings were lower than some of the competitors.
