Existing Conditions The field and facilities are in very good condition. Suggested Improvements · · · · Widen and post signage at existing handicapped parking space at School Department Headquarters entrance. Construct an additional handicapped parking space and post signage (based on approximately 28 parking spaces) at the back of the school, near the field; or construct a handicapped accessible "drop off area" there. Cut an opening in the fence to allow for handicapped access and ease of public access to the field. Complete some minor "reshaping" of the infield, removing grass that has grown in. The Play Area is in good condition with some pealing paint on the play structure. The Swing Set, with 3 swings missing, is in poor condition. The Basketball Hoop is in poor condition with a rusting backboard, bent rim and no net. The gazebo is in excellent condition. The Restroom Building and Refreshment Stand are in good condition. The Equipment Storage Shed is in fair condition, in some disrepair. Other facilities such as picnic tables and benches are in excellent condition. Suggested Improvements · · Construct three handicapped parking space with signage (based on approximately 54 total parking spaces) located near the basketball court, the gazebo area, and the baseball field. Cut openings in the fence by the parking lot, where handicapped parking spaces are located to allow handicapped and better public access. The main field has a chain link backstop, 2 concrete masonry dugouts, and a larger set of bleachers. Restroom Building One - 6 station Swingset One - 4 station Seesaw Existing Conditions The condition of the fields and facilities vary, as the main two fields (closest to the street) are in excellent condition and the other two fields are in good condition. The restroom building is in poor condition, in disrepair with a missing door and a hole in the wall. The swingset is in poor condition with 5 missing swings. The seesaw is in fair condition with one missing saw. Suggested Improvements · · · · · · · Construct (and pave) 3 handicapped parking spaces with signage (based on approximately 45 total parking spaces) located near the three existing fence openings. Widen existing fence openings to make them more handicapped accessible. Reconstruct the restroom building, making it totally handicapped accessible, and clearing a wide dirt/gravel path to it from the fields. Construct a dirt/gravel path to the swingset and seesaw from the restroom and fields, removing tree roots and rocks to create better handicapped access. Replace the missing swings on the swingset. Replace the missing saw on the seesaw. Reshape the infields, removing grass growing in the baselines, on the 2 baseball fields in good condition.
