WHAT IS The Perfect Pickin Pouch?

Many professional and amateur Guitar players feel most comfortable and technically proficient playing their instruments sitting down, with the
guitar angled on top of the right or left knee. In this position, we can see the entire fret board, reach all positions on the fret board, hold the finger or
flat picking hand in proper alignment, maintain a proper straightness or slight bend in both wrists and hold the picking forearm off of the face of the
instrument in order to let the instrument ring out. The back of the instrument is also allowed to vibrate if held at a slight angle.

Many of these subtle but important positioning characteristics are, of course, lost the minute that we stand up and hang a guitar from our shoulder on
a leather strap.

NOW YOU CAN STAND AND DELIVER IN THE BEST OF FORM

Many of us realize that the energy and presence to engage an audience with our voices, playing and interaction can be best achieved standing up,
even at the expense of less-than-optimal guitar position. By not seeing all that we are doing and holding the guitar away from us, we sacrifice our
familiarity with the instrument.

I have designed this device using the best materials at hand. The Perfect Pickin Pouch is tough and should not rip, tear or distort under constant use (an
internal nylon tape provides extra latitudinal support). The Perfect Pickin Pouch is soft and pliable and will provide superior protection against belt buckles
and the like. Also, by affixing The Perfect Pickin Pouch to your guitar by securing the strap ends of The Perfect Pickin Pouch over the guitar strap ends
at the strap buttons, the instrument is further protected from slipping off of the guitar strap and on to the floor.

I have designed The Perfect Pickin Pouch with 3 pockets (2 small and 1 larger) to hold picks, capos, tuners, money, car keys, autograph pens etc.
(particularly useful for some women performers whos stage attire does not provide handy pockets).

The Perfect Pickin Pouch comes in a selection of muted colors to be both unobtrusive and blend with the colors of the backs and sides of most
guitars (currently 2 shades of brown, burgundy and hunter green).

The Perfect Pickin Pouch lends itself well to personalization. I would be happy to talk to you about special embroidering, or stitching a name,
logo, event, or the like into a bulk order of The Perfect Pickin Pouch.

I have played the guitar for over 30 years without The Perfect Pickin Pouch. Since developing the prototype, I wouldnt think of performing on
my feet without it. Hopefully, you will find this to be true for yourself.

Happy Pickin

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The Perfect Pickin Pouch attaches to the back of the guitar by way of the two straps attached to the D-rings at either end
of the cushion
.

To secure the straps properly to the cushion
:
Hold the cushion toward you with the pockets facing you and the openings of the pockets facing up.
The straps should be threaded through the D-rings so that the nylon face (not the Velcro face) of the strap faces toward the guitar
(away from you). The Velcro end of the strap should be threaded through each D-ring toward you and then folded back on
themselves so that the Velcro hook and loop faces are secured to one other. The short end of the strap will be thus facing toward
you, not the guitar.

To Secure The Perfect Pickin Pouch to your instrument:
First secure the guitar strap to your guitar by attaching either end of the guitar strap to the strap buttons at the base of the guitar and
the heel of the neck (if your guitar does not have a heel strap button, see below for further suggestions).
Next connect The Perfect Pickin Pouch to the back of the guitar by fitting each leather tip over one of the guitar strap buttons. If
the strap buttons are too large, the holes in the leather tips can be enlarged by carefully cutting further along the precut slit on the
hole. By fitting the The Perfect Pickin Pouch straps over the guitar straps, the guitar is further prevented from slipping of the
guitar straps, as can often happen. The Perfect Pickin Pouch straps can, however, be attached under the guitar straps if you
prefer. [ILLUSTRATION 1, 3&4

What if my guitar doesnt have a heel strap button?
Although The Perfect Pickin Pouch works best if attached to the instrument by way of the end and heel strap buttons, it can also
be worn as a belt around your waist. You can simply tie a cord to both strap ends and tie the device around your waist. Even better
would be to half hitch a device such as DAddarios simple Acoustic Guitar Strap Quick-Release System to the ends of both
Perfect Pickin Pouch straps to make for a quick connection and release. ]. By the way, as long as your instrument has a heel
strap button, you can attqach the device to it and still attach the guitar strap to the headstock if you prefer. [ILLUSTRATION 2]

How do I set-up my Perfect Pickin Pouch for optimum use?
After loosely connecting the guitar strap and The Perfect Pickin Pouch to the guitar, hold your instrument on one or the other
knee, in your most comfortable sitting position. Angle the guitar so that it is most comfortable and so you can best see and reach all
points of the fret board. Adjust the guitar cord so that when you stand the guitar stays in the same relative plane.
Next position the cushion so that it best fills and supports the angle between your torso and the back of the instrument.
Finally, adjust the Velcro straps so that the slack is taken out of them. When you stand, the instrument should rest in a position just
as it did as when you were sitting down. This might take a few trial-and-error adjustments. But, once it is set, you should be able
to re-attach the The Perfect Pickin Pouch and guitar strap each time so that the instrument falls into the in the same position.

Can I fine-tune the device?
Yes, by all means. Both the web strapping and the leather tips can be carefully cut back in order to eliminate any unwanted
material and to provide a more permanent set-up (prevent from unraveling by lightly singing any cut nylon and Velcro ends).

You can also remove or increase the amount of stuffing in the cushion. I have provided enough kapok filling to create
