Fullbore pressure or percussion

rating systems provide maximum
exibility.
The Schlumberger QUANTUM
PERFPAC System is a one-trip perfo-
rate and gravel-pack system combining
tubing-conveyed-perforating, a gravel-
pack/ STIMPAC treatment and test
tool components into a single trip in
the well. In the QUANTUM PERFPAC
system, multiple technologies are de-
signed to work together to provide not
only robust versatility, but also a solu-
tion to past challenges posed by com-
bining tubing-conveyed-perforating
with sand control operations. The
QUANTUM PERFPAC system solves
the effects of gun shock, both
hydraulic and mechanical, premature
completion-packer-setting caused by
pressure and uid surges, reliable
underbalance pressures and hydraulic
sticking of the perforating packer. The
result is an efcient and reliable com-
pletion system that adds value to the
well completion operation.

The QUANTUM PERFPAC system
maximizes formation productivity,
especially for formations sensitive to
uid loss. Gravel-packing can be per-
formed immediately after perforating.
Productivity is improved, because
damage caused by uid loss is mini-
mized. Perforating is done with high-
performance, big-hole perforating
charges that provide up to 21 shots
per foot (spf). The gun is optimally
designed to determine the precise
shot density for each zone.
The innovative SXAR automatic
gun release insulates the system
from mechanical gun shock, and the
QUANTUM PERFPAC system allows
real-time monitoring of surface shot
detection and pressures. Plus, there is
immediate cleanup of perforating and
nearby wellbore damage debris.
The QUANTUM PERFPAC system
provides fast, efcient gravel packing
during sand control operations and
maximum flexibility with fullbore
pressure or percussion actuated TCP
systems. Combined with the IRIS*
dual-valve (IRDV), there is safe and
effective underbalance well control,
plus the QUANTUM packer is pro-
tected from pressure and uid surges.
The QUANTUM PERFPAC system
minimizes completion fluid losses,
especially important with expensive,
damaging, zinc-based fluids, maxi-
mizes gravel-packed completion pro-
ductivity, reduces cost by saving rig
time and eliminates the need for uid
loss pills.
