HoloTouch Adds Relay Output FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HoloTouch Adds Relay Output
Darien, Connecticut, July 27, 2005 R. Douglas McPheters, President of
HoloTouch, Inc.
,
(
www.holotouch.com
), and John Breitenbach, President of
Atlantex Corporation
(
www.atlantex-usa.com
), announced today that their fully functional touchless holographic
interface, BeamOne, is now available with relay output, greatly extending the reach of
HoloTouch® patented technology to electronic equipment controlled, among other things,
by programmable logic controllers ("PLCs"). BeamOne already offers communication with
PCs through USB, serial and other ports.
BeamOne (shown below) projects 1-inch square floating holographic images of its
"keys," several inches in front of the hardware. A standard PC sees BeamOne as a
keyboard. This device is programmable and comes with all necessary software and the
infrared sensors needed to detect an operator's interaction with its floating holographic
images as well as free support. Further information about this evaluation kit, relay output
capability and detailed specifications can be obtained by visiting
www.holodemo/store.html
, where it can also be ordered.
Reached at his Darien office, McPheters added: "this advance demonstrates our
commitment to bringing our innovative touchless actuation and control technology to an
ever- widening variety of electronic equipment, including those sold in the automotive,
banking, "factory-floor," gaming, kiosk, leisure, medical, military, personal and home
electronics and toy markets, to name just a few. Since PLCs control electronic equipment
in numerous industrial and other
applications which do not require the
sophistication of computer actuation and
control, we expect this new offering will
accelerate the adoption of HoloTouch®
patented technology in several important
sectors, not the least of which is "factory
floor" equipment. We offer the holographic
and opto-electronic design, engineering and
manufacturing services needed to rapidly
ramp up new products using HoloTouch® as
well as the possibility of licensing our
technology for specific applications to
manufacturers who recognize the value it can bring to their products."
