AGE DIVISIONS & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

* athletes born in 1989 are also eligible if they
do not turn 19 on or before 7/29/2008
Individuals: Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States, and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete
in these Championships. See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions. A competitor must compete in
his/her age division only. There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays. Competitors in the Sub-
Bantam, Bantam and Midget divisions may compete in a maximum of three events, including relays. Competitors in
the Youth, Intermediate, and Young divisions may compete in a maximum of four events, including relays. Combined
events are not included in the event count. All athletes must be 2008 members of USATF in good standing.
Relay Teams: Only registered 2008 USATF member clubs may enter a relay team(s). All athletes representing the
club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF membership.
ENTRY PROCESS:
Paper/Mailed Entries - $7.00 per event for each entry received by Friday, June 6. $10 per event for each entry
received 6/7 thru Friday, 6/13. Mail Paper Entries To: USATF Illinois, c/o Lorette Cherry, 1213 Maple Ave., Lisle, IL,
60532, 630 512-0727. Make checks payable to USATF Illinois. Last day to receive paper/mailed entries is
Friday, June 13, at $15 per event. Note: Any entries received after 5:00pm on the indicated dates will be recorded as
received on the following day, and appropriate entry fee additions will be assessed. Note: Express delivery required
after 6/10. Phone or Fax entries will NOT be accepted. Confirmations will be mailed for paper entries received by
Friday, June 10--if sent with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
All paper entries must be made using the official entry form. Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified
baptismal record, drivers license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted with each entry
form. For relay team entry, please follow the instructions on the official Relay Roster Form
Electronic Entries - $6.00 per event and $24.00 per relay. USATF Illinois Clubs and unattached athletes may submit
their entries electronically beginning Sunday, June 1, 2008. The deadline for the submission of all electronic entries is
Sunday, June 15 at 9:00 pm. The standard entry fee for electronic entries is $6.00 per event/$24.00 per relay. If you
miss the electronic entry deadline and we allow you to enter the meet electronically, you will be charged $10 per
event/$40 per relay team. Additionally, you may pay your entry fee via the Internet using a major credit or debit card.
Note: All necessary follow-up paperwork, including all listed requirements (e.g., electronic receipts, USATF
membership numbers, BCs for new members etc.), must be received at the USATF Illinois Office within 48 hours
after each clubs electronic entries are submitted. Under all circumstances, paperwork from all electronic entries must
be received by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, June 18.

NOTE: Electronic Entry fees are based on the day you submit your entries--Paper Entry charges are based on the
date we receive your entries, not on the date you mail them.

Note: Combined Events are not contested until the Regional Meet.
AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top three individuals (top three teams in the relay
events) in each event of each age division.
ADVANCEMENTS: The top 6 individuals and relay teams in each event of each age division will advance to the
USATF Region 7 Championships to be held on July 10 through July 13 at Vernon Hills H. S., Vernon Hills, IL.
All advancement/entry forms for the USATF Region 7 Championships must be completed, paid for, and
submitted (cash or money order only) prior to leaving Kankakee High School on 6/22/2008. The National
Championships will be held from Tuesday, July 22 to Sunday, July 27 at Burke Stadium Omaha, Nebraska. The top 3
athletes at the Region 7 Championships qualify for the National Championships. Information is available at:

(3-4 yrs old) and

IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: At the track one hour before each event.
EVENT CHECK-IN: There will be separate check-in areas for Running and Field events. Athletes must check in at
these designated areas 45
minutes prior to the event's scheduled starting time. All athletes will be required to remain in
the designated warm-up areas after checking in.
COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS/Packet Pick Up: At Kankakee High School, beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday. All
competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front on their jerseys only. If an
athlete loses the bib number, a replacement can be purchased for a fee of $5.00. *Note: No entry changes/no
substitutions/no adds/no new entries will be accepted at the meet site. Except, USATF Illinois will correct all data entry
mistakes; and all sex and division errors whatever the source.
EVENT RESULTS: During competition, event results will be posted in the display case at the track. In addition, event
results will be posted at www.kompusport.com.
PROTESTS: There will be a $100.00
fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once
and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is
upheld.
RULES CONDUCT & FACILITY:
The following are not permitted at the Kankakee High School:

Gum on the track or the infield
Pets
Skates, skateboards or roller blades
Plastic bottles and coolers are permitted but are subject to inspection by security personnel at the gate entrance.
GATE ADMISSION FEES: Friday free. $5.00 per day for Saturday or Sunday. $7.00 for two-day PASS. Pre-school
FREE. Only those coaches who present a 2008 USATF membership CARD will be admitted FREE. No coaches
passes will be issued!

Ave, Turn Left there is a Phillips 66 on the corner going South for 1 mile to Jeffery St. Turn Left then a quick Right in to
the school.
FROM THE SOUTHWEST/I-55 SOUTH
Take Rt. 17 East from Dwight to Kankakee. Rt. 17 becomes Court St. Turn Right on to Curtis Ave, going south to Jeffery
St. Turn left then a quick Right into the school.
FROM THE NORTHWEST/I-55 NORTH
Take I-55 to I-80 east, I-80 east to I-57 South to exit #312. Turn Right on to Court Street continue for 2 ½ miles west on
Court Street to Curtis Ave, Turn Left there is a Phillips 66 on the corner going South for 1 mile to Jeffery St. Turn Left
then a quick Right in to the school.

FROM THE NORTHWEST I- 355 SOUTH
Take I-355 South to I- 80 East to I-57 South to exit #312, Turn Right on to Court Street continue for 2 ½ miles west on
Court Street to Curtis Ave, Turn Left there is a Phillips 66 on the corner going South for 1 mile to Jeffery St. Turn Left
then a quick Right in to the school.
FROM THE SOUTH/SOUTHEAST
Take Interstate 57 north to exit #308 , going north on Rt. 45/52 for 1mile and 8/10th merge to left as you pass Pepsi Cola,
Turn Left at the stop sign , On to Jeffery Street go 1 mile the school is on the left.
