OPEN TO: Swimmers in Coastal, Metro, Orange (AAA, AVM, DA, FAST GWSC, LRL, NBAC, NOVA, SVAM, SEAL SCAL, SCAT, USA) and other USA
Swimming members from outside SCS, as the time line will allow.
LOCATION: Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool located at the foot of Termino Avenue just south of Ocean Blvd. on the beach in Long Beach (Belmont
Shores), CA. Course: Indoor, 8-lane, 50 meter pool with bulkhead dividing warm up lanes from deep water 25 yard competition course. Colorado
Timing/Scoreboard used.
ENTRIES DUE: Entries must be postmarked by Monday, November 27, 2006. Hand delivery of entries will be accepted until Tuesday, November
28, 2006 up until 8:00 pm at 26492 Aracena, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
ENTRY LIMIT: A swimmer may enter all events for which the time standard has been met and can be verified. A swimmer, however, can swim no
more than six (6) individual events during the meet and no more than three (3) events per day.
MEET START TIMES: This is a timed final meet. All younger sessions will begin at 8:30 am. Older sessions will not begin before 11:00 am. Older
sessions that begin later than 12:00 noon will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the morning session.
WARM UP TIMES: Controlled warm-ups on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will begin each day at 7:30 am for the younger age groups and immediately
following the conclusion of the younger session for the older age groups. The competition pool will be closed fifteen minutes prior to the start of each
session, with supervised warm-up/warm-down available in the adjacent pool. Warm-up procedures will be posted at the pool.
Open Events: All age groups in the Open events will swim combined. However, the 15/16 and 17/up age groups will be awarded and scored
separately. Swimmers 14 years old and younger will not be scored or awarded in the Open events. Distance Events: The 1000 and 1650 yard
freestyle events will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls and boys heats. All age groups will be seeded together but awarded separately.
CONDUCT OF WINTER AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP
RULES: USA Swimming rules will govern. Current SCS Meet procedures will be enforced and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this
form (see 2006 SCS swim guide). Swimmers must check in with the Clerk of Course for each event; after each event is closed, a swimmer may not
check in or scratch. The first four events on each day will close one half-hour prior to the start of the meet. Age on Dec. 8, 2006 determines age
for the meet. All events will be conducted as timed final events. Swimmers are limited to swimming no more than six [6] individual events (maximum of 3
per day), but may enter any and all events for which they meet the qualifying time standard.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to athletes who are 2006 or 2007 USA Swimming registered in the Olympic and Coastal Sections. Other USA Swimming members
from outside SCS who have met and can prove the posted AA time standards, only if time allows the addition. Registration application must be
received by the meet host or SCS office prior to the first day of the meet (12/8/2006) and may be submitted with the entry. There are substantial
penalties to swimmer and club (See 2006 SCS Swim Guide, Part One, III, B) if USA Swimming registration is completed at the meet.
MEET REFEREE: The Meet Referee will be in charge of the meet. Any questions regarding conduct of meet should be made directly to that person.
CHANGE OF AFFILIATION: Before the meet, a swimmer may change affiliation by submitting a Change of Affiliation form and appropriate fee to the
Swim Office. At the meet, a swimmer may UNATTACH by notifying Administrative Referee in writing and paying the appropriate fee. A swimmer may
not attach or reattach at the meet.
SUBMITTED TIMES:
Submit ACTUAL times achieved for each event. If Standard is achieved in SHORT COURSE YARD, enter event with SHORT COURSE
YARDS Y If Standard is achieved in LONG COURSE METERS enter event with LONG COURSE METERS time, indicated on entry by L. METER TIMES
WILL BE SEEDED AFTER YARDS QUALIFIERS. If using a blue card, time on front of card must be clearly marked with either L or Y with proof of time
yards/meters on the back of the card. If entering electronically, L or Y must be indicated on proof of time sheet.
Times must have been achieved on or after
September 1, 2005 and must be verifiable (meets outside SCS or non USA Swimming meets are provable only with official results subject to approval by
SCS) refer to SCS Swim Guide pg 41. Do not submit NT (no time) or ET (estimated time). Discrepancies in submitted times might lead to disciplinary
action. Coaches, swimmers and parents are reminded that this is a proof-of-time meet.
ENTRY: Submit a Blue proof-of-time Southern California Consolidated Entry Card for each swimmer. Card must be completely filled out including entire USS
registration number.
ELECTRONIC ENTRY POLICY: E-mail entry (entry.zip file) will be accepted only when received with an attached Word or .pdf file including electronic signature
of coach and will be dated as official at that time. (5 PM postmark would queue before a 10 PM electronic) Full payment (single team check) for an e-mail entry must
be postmarked within 48 hours of the e-mail entry. Failure to comply will be referred to the Board of Review. Entry updates (added events) will be processed when
received by the processor by the entry deadline. Added events (entered swimmers) may be submitted by hard copy (this includes e-mail) ONLY. New swimmers
accepted SPACE AVAILABLE. DO NOT RESEND AN ENTRY FILE: A replacement file for the team will NOT be processed. Deletions will NOT be refunded
Individual entry charge of $3.50 per event plus $8.00 surcharge, relay entry charge of $10.00 per relay. All fees must accompany all entries. Returned checks will
incur a service fee per SCS policy.
ENTRY UPDATE: Time updates will be accepted at an administrative fee of $1 per event, ONLY UNTIL THE ENTRY DEADLINE. No updates will be
accepted after November 27 2006.

Relays: Relays for 10/under and 11/12 will be swum at the conclusion of the morning sessions. Relays for the 13/14 and 15 & up will be swum at the
conclusion of the afternoon sessions following the individual events, except on Sunday when the relays will swim before the 1650 yd. freestyle. Relays
need not meet the AA time standard; however, all relay members must be entered in the meet. $10.00 per relay. Relay only swimmers surcharge of
$8.00 per swimmer. Relays and relay only swimmers must be pre-entered on the appropriate forms.
Awards: Distinctive custom medals will be awarded for first through eighth place in all individual events and first in all relay events. Team plaques will be awarded to
the Top 6 teams in Men, Women and Combined Team scoring. Standard 16 place scoring will be used. 19 & over are not eligible for scoring.

SCS Pacific Coast All Star Team:

The combined results from both sites of the Winter Age Group & Senior Championships will be used to select the SCS Quad Meet
team competing January 20-21, 2007 on British Columbia, Canada. Eight girls and eight boys in the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups will be selected for the Quad Meet
before the Swim Festival draft.
MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF CURRENT PASSPORT WITH APPLICATION.

SCS SWIM FESTIVAL 2007: After the 2007 Pacific Coast Quad Meet team is selected, 32 girls and boys from each age group 10 & under, 11-12 and 13 14 [age on
January 20, 2007] will be drafted by Swim Festival coaching staff onto four teams [8 per age group per team]. The four Swim Festival teams will compete in a scored
Quad Meet at the Belmont Plaza Pool on Saturday, January 21, 2007. To be drafted a swimmer must be in the top 16 of the combined Winter Age Group and Senior
Championship results in at least one swim festival event after age ups and Quad Team are excluded.
