Position Summary:
The Manager, EMEA Developer Relations, Mobile and Devices will be responsible for
driving the adoption of Adobes mobile platform among influentials in the EMEA
mobile community. The qualified candidate will work to identify strategic companies
and manage relationships through successful support and application delivery. In
addition, the qualified candidate will provide core expertise, guidance, and a friendly
face to the growing mobile Flash developer community, including developers, media
owners, content aggregators, operators and device manufacturers focusing on the
EMEA region.
The ability to effectively communicate ideas verbally and in writing is a must. A strong
balance of technical and creative talent will ensure the qualified candidate is able to
deliver the level of technical insight and participation from Adobe required to foster a
successful developer community.
A key aspect of the position requires ensuring that developers are using published
guidelines to create compelling Flash content for mobile devices. This includes
delivering training, creating templates and providing feedback in the design and
development of content for Flash Mobile devices.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for the mobile technology space, demonstrated
experience building mobile applications with Flash Lite, J2ME or other technologies,
and the enthusiasm to help build a wildly successful community of mobile Flash
developers in EMEA. Effective evangelism skills are also a must. This position will be
based in London or Germany. Up to 50% international travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the most influential tier 1 and 2 media owners, developers,
content aggregators, operators and device manufacturers in EMEA.
Work directly with the EMEA team to help with various efforts (business
development, sales, technical support, customer engagement).
Drive the adoption and support of Flash Lite among the most influential
developers and content creators.
Be Adobes public face to this developer community by maintaining active
presence online, at local regional conferences, and at other informal
developer gatherings.
Create presentations, seminars, blog entries, technical articles, and samples to
enable developers to be successful with Adobes mobile technologies.
Work with partners in the Adobe Mobile Developer Relations and Program
teams to drive strategy and execution of events, co-marketing, partnerships
with key vendors, advocacy programs, and content for the Adobe Mobile and
Devices Developer Center and other 3rd party websites.
Work with internal Adobe engineering and QE teams to drive developer
requirements and insight into product development cycle.
Be a point of escalation and resolution for developer support and provide
advanced technical support to developers for Flash Mobile technologies.
