Installation Instructions
This Oil Pan is made to fit Mitsubishi 4G63 engines manufactured from 1989 to 1992-1/2.
These instructions are a basic guideline and some descriptions may not apply to all
vehicles. Always consult the proper Service Manual for complete instructions.

Make sure vehicle is in Park and on a level surface, emergency brake on, chock wheels and
jack up vehicle, use approved jack stands for safety. Or, put car safely on a lift.

Drain oil from pan and remove oil pan from engine. Consult the proper service manual for
complete disassembly instructions.

Clean any old gasket material from engine block and sealing areas.

Using supplied mounting Studs, apply Loctite, (or equivalent) on the threaded end that screws
into engine block. Thread these studs approximately 3/8" into engine block.

Thoroughly clean the inside of your new Moroso Oil Pan. Install a new factory quality oil pan
gasket to the oil pan rail using a light coating of RTV silicone to hold the gasket firmly in place.

Install the oil pan, DO NOT USE FORCE. Secure to engine with supplied nuts and tighten in
an X-pattern starting from the center outwards. Torque these nuts to 84 in. lbs.

Attach turbo drain to oil pan with supplied nuts. Use a new gasket before installing to pan.

Reinstall any parts removed during oil pan removal, following service manual instructions.
Make any necessary modifications or adjustments to interfering parts.

The 1/2" NPT Bung is used for an oil temperature sender. If this is not being used, it should be
blocked off with the provided plug and a Teflon pipe sealant.

Place washer onto magnetic drain plug and install. Do not over tighten.

Refill with fresh oil to full line on dipstick and check for leaks. Run engine for 5-minutes and re-
check oil level.
