REAR LOWERING KIT MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations! You have just purchased the finest and most stylish aftermarket Lowering Kit
available for your motorcycle. Each and every Cobra Boulevard Lowering Kit is manufactured in the
U.S.A. of the highest quality materials available. Your Boulevard Lowering Kit will install in minutes
using common tools. Read instructions carefully and completely before installing your new
Boulevard Products Lowering Kit.
1.
Stabilize your motorcycle. When the shock absorber is removed, the motorcycle will not stand on
the side stand. A professional motorcycle lift with a front wheel chock is recommended.
2.
Remove the stock chain guard and the left rear shock absorber bottom bolt.
3.
Install the left lowering kit piece (The one with the tab) with the tab facing the rear using your stock
shock mount and bolt.
4.
Install the left shock bottom mount to the lowering kit piece using the 10mm bolt, washer and lock
nut provided. Torque the bolt to 30-35 foot pounds.
5.
Remove the right lower shock bolt and install the right lowering kit piece and shock using the same
methods as on the left.
6.
Install the chain guard in the new location using the relocation bracket and hardware supplied.
7.
Make sure all of your bolts have been sufficiently tightened before you ride.
Lowering your motorcycle reduces ground clearance and changes the handling
characteristics of your motorcycle. Be very careful when operating your motorcycle
with this lowering kit installed.
