CHEVROLET SKID PLATE KIT RS8705

For Vehicles Equipped with Rancho Suspension Systems RS6543, RS6555, RS6567, & RS6568

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY FROM START TO FINISH BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION


1)

Park vehicle on level ground. Set the parking
brake and chock rear wheels. Raise the front of
the vehicle and support the frame with jack
stands.

NOTE: Lifting the front of the vehicle makes the
removal and installation of the front pivot bolt
easier.

2)

Remove the tow hooks from the bottom of
the frame rails as shown in illustration A.

Remove the front pivot bolt from both lower
control arms. See illustration B.

4)

Attach skid plate 176074 to skid plate frame
176075 with the supplied hardware. See
illustration C.

5)

Attach the skid plate assembly to the front of
the Rancho subframe with the lower control arm
pivot bolts. Do not tighten.

6)

Align the holes in the skid plate frame with
the tow hook mounting holes in the frame rails.
Attach the tow hooks and the skid plate assembly
to the frame rails with the supplied 12mm
hardware.

7)

Remove jack stands and lower the vehicle to
the ground. Tighten the lower control arm pivot
bolts to 135-ft. lbs., and the tow hook mounting
bolts to 75-ft. lbs.
