Case load included multi-vessel CABGs, Valves, and Aortic Aneurysm Repairs employing Deep
Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest with Retrograde cerebral perfusion.
Equipments used included the Jostra HL20 with roller head pump with occasional rotor-flow
centrifugal pump head; Capiox Sx25RX and Capiox Sx10 reservoir-oxygenators; Hemocron ACT
II machine, Medtronic HMS, Haemonetics Cell saver 5, CDI 500, BC vanguard cardioplegia set,
and observation of use of the Datascope IABP.

as autotransfusion for orthopedic surgeries, Platelet Gel therapy for wound healing purposes, and

Equipments used Included the Sarns 8000 with a biomedicus centrifugal pump head; Terumo
Capiox Sx18Rx reservoir-oxygenators, Arterial line filter, Leukocyte filter, CDI 500,
Thromboelastograph coagulation analyzer, Magellan, Hemocron ACT II, Medtronic HMS, COBE
Brat 2 cell saver, Arrow IABP.
Other strategies employed included Zero-balance ultrafiltration and leukocyte Filter use, during
warm-shot cardioplegia delivery.
