Your Prayers for World Peace
Also Purify Your Surroundings
By Masahisa Goi

H
onored guests and friends,
Itisagreat pleasure to see so many of you at this Sanctuary
devoted to peace. This is our 14th year to host this festival
and many of you have come year after year in support of
our work. I am sure that I, as well as many of you, have
noticed that the vibration which surrounds this Sanctuary
has been elevating more and more with each festival. Our
love for humanityour love for peaceour love for planet
earthhas magnified the energy field of this Sanctuary and
I am filled with gratitude for your continued prayers for
peace: May Peace Prevail on Earth.
It is my heartfelt wish that the energy of our thoughts,
wishes and prayers for
peace will embrace the
many people who have
suffered from Hurricane
Katrina earlier this month.
At this time when the
world is filled with much
confusion and suffering it
isimperative that we gath-
er in larger numbers, connecting heart to heart, to create a
strong enough energetic field to manifest change within
ourselves and in the worldto support the great waves of
evolutionary changes that face us. YOU CAN CHANGE
THE WORLD and change we must.
What needs to change first is the way you view your-
self. You have the power to change your life with conscious
thoughtyou are a Divine Being with every ability neces-
sary to lead a life full of harmony, peace and happiness.
You are connected to the Universal Source supplying you
infinitely with energy, power and intuition. Once you
remove all limitations of fear and self-doubt you will
unleash an energy force of Divine
proportions to bring the changes
needed in your life and the world.
To bring about further
change, you must check your belief system. What do you
believe in? Do you believe the politicians have caused the
problems of the world? Do you believe that the leaders are
responsible for creating peace? Do you believe you have
the power to contribute to world peace? Do you believe
you are significant? The cause as well as the solutions of
the worlds problems lies in what each person believes.
Weall have the power to create change. Do not rely on
others. Do not give your
power away to strength-
en the power of others.
We have lived and
believed in the negative
for so long. It is time to
start believing in your
Selfbelieve in your
inborn abilities and tal-
ents, that everything will surely improve, and that you can
do it. Believe in your intuitionthat everything will surely
find harmony and that you can do it. Believe in your cre-
ativity and inner wisdomthat everything will surely
change for the better and that you can do it.
We have entered the Age of the Individual Self. From
reliance on others to reliance on Self, the Divine Self. From
seeking power from the outer world to finding the power
within. ADivine Self that transcends national, cultural or
religious affiliationsa Self that is a Divine individual con-
nected to the energy Source of Life. Through recognizing
the Divine Self, you will discover the source of infinite

possibilities, the source of infinite wisdom within. It is time
now to activate the infinite powers that were dormant and neg-
lected within us for so long. Change begins in the hearts and
minds of each individual. Change begins by believing in your
Divine Self.
At this World Peace Sanctuary, we place great
importance on prayer. Prayer can also activate change
within our Self as well as in the world.... Not by prayer
however which begs for mercy, asks favors for personal
wishes or gains. Not by prayers of duality that have an
enemy or an opposition. We believe in a form of positive
and active prayer that allows us to transform our con-
sciousness, a prayer that reminds us of our Divinity, a
prayer that awakens our True Self and prepares us for
life in the 21st century. True prayer is the releasing of
high dimensional thought forms and words of pure love
strong enough to melt away the negativity of oneself
and the world. True prayer connects us to the Universal
Source and makes a declaration of True Life on Earth.
While we sit here today and pray together for the
peace of every country on Earth, a magnetic field of
energy will be created by your prayers of pure love for
humanity. Our prayers will reach the Universal Source,
creating a pillar of energy flow that will be carried to every
corner on Earth. Every one of you will become the Divine
vessels that you are to receive and transmit pure life force to
every citizen on earth.
Everything in the universe is composed of wave vibra-
tions; we are all related in a web of energy patterns and fre-
quencies that influence all living things. Our thoughts are
vibrations, our emotions are vibrations, our words are vibra-
tions. Negative vibrations are strong enough when accumu-
lated to even cause war, tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes.
So, too, can positive thought vibrations change the tides of war,
calm the ocean, soften the wind and quiet the Earth.
In the 21st century we will begin to learn the power of
conscious thoughthow to control, shift and re-direct life force
and energy. We will learn to purify and cleanse vibra-
tions using words of pure love and truth. We will
embrace a science greatly advanced in the study of
vibrations and witness inventions which are way
beyond our present level of understanding.
Social values based on riches, power and posi-
tion will be replaced by a higher dimensional con-
sciousness in the 21st centuryone that values
Divinity, your connection to Source. We will move
from a world of duality to an understanding of the
oneness of humanity. We are truly at the crossroads of
monumental changes.
YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD and
embrace these evolutionary changes for humanity,
but first YOU MUST CHANGE YOURSELF. By
changing yourself, you are changing the world. By
changing yourself, you will create a chain reaction
transforming your friends, family, your community,
your country and the world at large.
Positive thought, prayers and belief systems are needed
now more than ever before. They are needed to minimize nat-
ural disasters and human suffering. They are needed to change
the consciousness of every individual being on earth.
And now, we invite you to join us in the World Peace
Prayer Ceremony to follow so that we may manifest the
changes so needed within ourselves and on Earth for the evo-
lution, creation and awakening of all humanity.
Together, we can change the world. Thank you.
May Peace Prevail on Earth.

T
he Imagine Peace
Festival included
a benefit concert on
Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005
and a day-long festival on
Sunday, Sept. 18. The concert, held in
Hurricane Ophelias rain and lightning, was
not well attended, although the performers
were excellent and all of them mentioned how
wonderful the Sanctuary was and how they
loved our work. Sunday, however, was a
sunny day, for which we were deeply grateful!
The festival shared many aspects with previous festivals,
including a Native American invocation, Peace Pals, crafts, and
multi-cultural music. But there were many new things as well:
renowned speakers Patch Adams and Marianne Williamson;
non-profits organized into villages: a Peace Village, Eco Village,
Wisdom Keepers Village,
Healing Arts Village and beauti-
ful Visual Arts Village, many of
these organized by partner
organizations; a Workshop Tent;
and a Spiritual Cinema.
Our terrific partner organi-
zations included the Peace
Alliance, the Peace Company,
What Is Enlightenment
Magazine, Humanitys
Team, Global Healing,
World Puja, Global
Harmony Institute, We
The World, Peace Stars, and more.
The Workshop Tent offered a special
opportunity for guests to interact with
WPPS Chairperson Masami Saionji, who
attended with her three daughters, Maki,
Rika and Yuka, and also Fumi Johns-
Stewart of the San Francisco office, who
served as an excellent translator. Mrs. Saionji answered ques-
tions and enthralled those gathered with her energy and pas-
sion. And it was a joy to see her meeting the delightful Patch
Adams!Mrs. Saionji spoke brilliantly again when it was time for
the World Peace Flag Ceremony. The flag ceremony was also
very special, with voice leaders including Rev. Charles Gibbs of
the United Religions Initiative and Dr. Noel J. Brown of Friends
of the United Nations.
